Ryu (shoulder) played catch Saturday for the first time since he received a cortisone injection earlier in the week, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
Despite beginning a sub-maximal throwing program this weekend, it remains unlikely that Ryu will pitch again during the regular season. The Dodgers are hopeful that he'll be ready for the postseason, but owners in single-season leagues may be best served by cutting ties with the southpaw.

Ryu (shoulder) is "doubtful" to pitch for the remainder of the regular season, but remains optimistic he'll be part of the rotation during the postseason, David Vassegh of 570 AM Los Angeles reports.
Ryu hasn't pitch since allowing four earned runs in a single inning back on Sept. 12, and has been unable to throw since then due to shoulder irritation. The hope is that he can begin throwing at some point this weekend, and from there, he'll look to build up strength prior to the start of the playoffs. Although he was once a speculative candidate to start Monday for the Dodgers, it now appears that fantasy owners are unlikely to see additional contributions from Ryu for the remainder of the regular season.

Ryu (shoulder) could start on Monday, though manager Don Mattingly called that a "stretch", Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles reports.
At least it's sounding more optimistic today that Ryu could get a regular season start in before the playoffs. Don't expect him to start Monday, but sometime later in the week is looking possible.

Ryu (shoulder) had an MRI Monday that revealed no structural damage in his left shoulder, and the left-hander has not been ruled out from making one more regular season start in advance of the playoffs, the Dodgers' official site reports.
Probably the best news the team could have expected. Ryu received a cortisone injection, and depending on how he recovers, he could be available as early as September 22 when the Dodgers take on the Giants.

Ryu (shoulder) will not make another regular season start this year, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
No word yet on Ryu's return for the playoffs, but that likely depends on how he reacts to the treatment. Ryu received a cortisone shot on Monday, and that typically takes a few days to kick in. Carlos Frias will man Ryu's spot while he's sidelined.

Ryu (shoulder) will head back to Los Angeles and will get an MRI on his left shoulder Monday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Ryu is also reportedly doubtful for his next start. He left Friday's game in the first inning due to the injury and it appears to be something that could cause him to miss an extended period of time. The lefty made just three starts after returning from the disabled list from a glute injury, the latest of which lasted just the one inning. The Dodgers will likely make clear in the near future who will take his next start if Ryu can't go when he is due.

Ryu left Fridays game after experiencing shoulder irritation in the first inning.
Ryu got roughed up Friday, allowing four runs to cross the plate before leaving the game in the first inning with shoulder irritation. With the Dodgers' pitching staff decimiated by injuries, a prolonged absence for Ryu would be costly. Thus far, there is no indication from the team if he might be healthy enough to make his next scheduled start.

Ryu lasted just one inning against the Giants Friday, allowing four runs on five hits while throwing 27 pitches.
We'll see quickly whether this is a result of an injury, but this isn't exactly the way the Dodgers wanted to being a crucial series. Ryu's ERA goes from 3.27 to 3.38 as a result.

Ryu pitched 6.2 innings Saturday, giving up two runs and seven hits while striking out nine and walking one in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.
Ryu was masterful through the first six innings, escaping a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the second inning before confounding the Arizona batters going into the seventh inning. It was in the seventh that Ryu gave up an RBI double to Cody Ross then an RBI single to pinch-hitter A.J. Pollock that cost him the chance for the win.
