Ryu will throw a 25-pitch simulated game Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu has made very slow progress with his elbow injury and it has been assumed that he wouldn't pitch again in 2016 since August. It still seems unlikely that Ryu would make any sort of regular season impact, considering he's throwing just 25 pitches with only two weeks left in the season. Perhaps the Dodgers are hoping he could return for action in the playoffs out of the bullpen, but even that seems optimistic at this point. Ryu remains on the 60-day disabled list for now.

Ryu (elbow) hasn't thrown since mid-July and the Dodgers do not expect him to return this season, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu's lack of progress since landing on the DL on July 19 makes Thursday's development not entirely surprising. He began the season on the DL and his expected return date was routinely pushed back due to ups and downs during his rehab. Ultimately he made one start, allowing six earned runs across 4.2 innings right before the All-Star break. The expectation is that Ryu won't be back on the hill in a big league game until next season.

Ryu (elbow) was moved to the 60-day DL on Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers are yet to offer much clarity regarding what's going on with Ryu's elbow, but the move to the 60-day DL is anything but encouraging. It does, however, free up a spot on the 40-man roster, which the Dodgers will use to accommodate Josh Field, who was acquired from the Astros at Monday's deadline.

Ryu (elbow) was placed on the 15-day DL on Tuesday, Andy McCullough of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
After announcing earlier in the afternoon that Ryu would miss his next start Wednesday, the Dodgers went ahead and placed him on the DL. At this point, it's unclear exactly what's going on with his elbow, but it's yet another bump in the road for the left-hander, who's made just one start since the end of the 2014 season.

Ryu (elbow) will likely miss his next start due to elbow irritation, Jon Heyman of Today's Knuckleball reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu could be headed for another DL stint as he is reporting elbow irritation following a lengthy stay on the DL recovering from shoulder surgery he had last May. More news concerning the severity of this new injury is likely to be released in the upcoming days. The 29-year-old southpaw gave up six earned runs over 4.2 innings in his first major league start back from the DL on July 7.

Ryu's next start is scheduled for Wednesday, reports MLB.com's Ken Gurnick.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu threw a bullpen session on Sunday as he looks to rebound from a tough 2016 debut (4.2 innings, six runs versus the Padres) this past Thursday.

Ryu (0-1) gave up six earned runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in Thursday's 6-0 loss to the Padres. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu certainly had his moments despite the unfavorable stat line, recording first-pitch strikes on 13 of 24 batters and inducing 10 swinging strikes. Coming off a 14-month absence due to a shoulder injury, the 29-year-old ran into trouble in four of the five innings he went to the mound. He gave up a first-inning homer to Melvin Upton, Jr., a second-inning RBI single to opposing pitcher Drew Pomeranz, and an run-scoring two-bagger to Alexei Ramirez in the fourth before coming undone in the fifth. After securing the first two outs, back-to-back doubles by Matt Kemp and Yangervis Solarte plated the former, Following an intentional walk to Derrick Norris, Alex Dickerson ended Ryu's night with an RBI triple to deep right. While it was undoubtedly a rough landing for the left-hander following his extended absence, he'll look to rebound in his first post-All-Star-break start.

Ryu (shoulder) has been officially reinstated from the 60-day disabled list ahead of his start Thursday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will make his long-anticipated season debut Thursday after a difficult recovery and rehab from shoulder surgery last May that had numerous starts and stops. According to Andy McCullough of the LA Times, Ryu won't be on a pitch count Thursday. However, given that he never threw more than 84 pitches in any of his rehab appearances, it's unlikely that he'll make it very deep into Thursday's outing.

Ryu (shoulder) has finished his rehab and will start Thursday for the Dodgers, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Don't expect Ryu to last too deep in the game yet, as he never threw more than 84 pitches in any of his eight rehab appearances. Ryu owns a 28-15 record with a 3.17 ERA and a 7.7 K/9 for his career, though, so expect productive innings out of him, especially with a favorable matchup at home against the Padres.

The Dodgers remain unsure if Ryu (shoulder) will make another rehab start, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu pushed his pitch count to 84 in his last outing for High-A Rancho Cucamonga, allowing two earned runs on five hits over six innings, striking out three total batters. The Friday outing marked his eighth official rehab appearance in a journey back that has been plagued with setbacks. The Dodgers seem to have their rotation essentially set through the All-Star break, so there really isn't a reason to rush Ryu back at this point. The performance of Brandon McCarthy on Sunday could very well influence that decision, however.
