Ryu (groin) expects to be ready by Opening Day, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu had been dealing with a groin injury throughout spring training but put together another solid outing Thursday, as he threw three innings and allowed just one run off three hits and a walk. He also racked up four strikeouts during that time. For the remainder of the spring, his focus will be on increasing his pitch count as he works to lock up a spot in the Dodgers' starting rotation.

Ryu (groin) made his long-awaited Cactus League debut Saturday, firing a pair of scoreless innings in a win over the Angels. He struck out two and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu's debut went about as good as he could have hoped after missing the majority of the last two seasons. Yes, it was a brief appearance in a spring training game, but the 29-year-old displayed the control that made him such a consistent fantasy arm in 2013 and 2014. Ryu's fastball sat in the 87-91 mph range, not far off from the 90.9 mph average he had back in 2014. The next step for the veteran southpaw will be showing that he can continue his spring success while stretching out his arm after a long layoff. If Ryu continues to have success while staying healthy this spring, then it would be hard for the Dodgers' to leave him out of their rotation. He is worth a flyer in fantasy leagues in the event that he does win a rotation spot out of camp.

Ryu (groin) is expected to log two innings in Saturday's start, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will make his scheduled start Saturday, which is an accomplishment in itself, as his debut had been pushed back. If he can stay healthy throughout spring training, a spot in the rotation should be waiting for him, but that's a big "if." At this point, he is nothing more than a late-round flyer in deeper formats.

Ryu (groin) will debut Saturday, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was originally slated to make his Cactus League debut Friday, and while he was only pushed back one day, this is in line with the trend of delayed returns that have become so common for Ryu over the past two seasons. Until he logs exhibition innings over multiple starts this spring, it will be hard to have any faith in the southpaw providing value at the outset of the season.

Ryu (groin/elbow) is scheduled to make his first appearance of spring on Friday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu has struggled with injuries over the last couple seasons, and has been dealing with multiple issues throughout spring, most recently coming off an elbow surgery in September 2016. The Dodgers have been bringing him along slowly this spring, and he is set for his Cactus League debut Friday after multiple bullpen sessions over the past week. With his spring hampered by injuries thus far, it seems increasingly unlikely that he'll crack the Dodgers' Opening Day rotation.

Ryu is expected to make his Cactus League debut on Tuesday or Wednesday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu has been dealing with multiple injuries this spring and is coming off of an elbow surgery that he underwent in September of 2016. The veteran lefty has thrown several bullpen sessions recently, but has yet to return to live action. Due to his hampered spring training, an Opening Day rotation spot is looking increasingly unlikely at this time.

Ryu did not have any issues with his left adductor muscle during his scheduled bullpen session Wednesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
For a guy who has struggled with injuries the last couple seasons, it's not a great way to start out spring training. Fortunately, this issue is in his leg rather than his arm. The fact that he tossed a bullpen session Wednesday without any setbacks may suggest it's not a major concern. The southpaw is scheduled to face hitters Saturday and his bullpen session Wednesday keeps him on pace to potentially still do so. While Ryu could prove effective as a starter, his health issues and non-guaranteed role in the rotation pushes his value down dramatically entering 2017.

Ryu has had discomfort in the adductor muscle on his left side, but will throw a bullpen session Wednesday and face hitters on Saturday, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Ryu had previously been deemed healthy, and was supposed to be just ramping up his activity, it now seems that he is dealing with yet another medical issue. At this point, it's very hard to use anything other than a late-round flyer in a deep league on the oft-injured lefty. While he is scheduled to throw to hitters on Saturday, that is only a tentative plan, and it's possible he does not hit that goal.

Contrary to prior reports, Ryu will pitch a bullpen session Wednesday and is not scheduled to pitch in the Dodgers' spring game, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
There were reports stating that the southpaw could make his spring debut, but it seems that the Dodgers brass decided to take their foot off the gas a bit and hold him out of game action a bit longer. No timetable for Ryu's first spring game exists as of now, but things should become clearer as he continues to throw side sessions.

Ryu is scheduled to pitch in Wednesday's Cactus League matchup with the Giants, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers have been fairly cautious with the left-hander so far, but they seem to be ready to unleash him in game action as the next step of his rehab program. Ryu likely won't pitch more than one or two innings, but this is definitely a positive step for him moving forward. As long as everything goes as planned with his appearance, he should be in the mix for one of the final rotation spots heading into the regular season.
