Ryu remains without a date set for his next start and could ultimately switch to a long relief role, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Kenta Maeda (hamstring) expected to come of the disabled list to start Thursday's game, Ryu finds himself as the odd man out in a deep Dodgers' rotation. While manager Dave Roberts wouldn't comment when Ryu would pitch next, he didn't rule out temporarily moving the 30-year-old to the bullpen as a long relief option, though he hesitated given Ryu's lack of experience in such a role. Through seven starts this season, Ryu has compiled a 4.75 ERA and 36 strikeouts across 36 innings.

Ryu was hit on the leg by a comebacker Thursday, but it only grazed his leg and is not an area of concern, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It didn't seem to affect Ryu as he tossed 5.1 innings and held the Marlins to two runs on seven hits, while walking one and fanning three. He's still rounding into form after returning from the disabled list, though this was a positive sign.

Ryu (2-5) held the Marlins to two runs on seven hits over 5.1 innings Thursday. He walked one and struck out three in a 7-2 victory.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old bounced back with a solid effort Thursday after getting shelled in his return from the disabled list last week. Both of Ryu's runs came on solo homers, but he stayed aggressive low in the zone otherwise, throwing 48 of his 79 pitches for strikes while inducing eight groundballs. With a fastball that barely touches 90 mph, the southpaw needs to stay low in the zone in order to lower his sub-par 4.99 ERA and 1.8 HR/9. If Ryu is unable to improve those marks, he will run the risk of being bumped from a crowded Dodgers rotation.

Ryu won't start Tuesday's game against the Giants, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers will be activating Rich Hill (finger) from the disabled list in the near future. The current plan is for the team to use a six-man rotation going forward. As such, Hill has been tabbed to start Tuesday and Clayton Kershaw on Wednesday, which leaves Ryu taking the mound Thursday against the Marlins.

Ryu (1-5) was hit hard in his return from a hip injury, giving up 10 runs (five earned) on eight hits and six walks over four innings in Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu had the relative misfortune of drawing Coors Field as the setting for his first start off the disabled list and was pounded from the first inning onward despite not giving up any home runs. Ian Desmond, Nolan Arenado and Carlos Gonzalez all tagged him for RBI doubles in the first and second innings, netting six runs overall. The 30-year-old southpaw gave up a season high in hits, runs, earned runs and walks, while also turning in his shortest stint of the season. Ryu will look to bounce back in a park much friendlier to pitchers when he takes on the Giants in a road start next Tuesday.

Ryu (hip) was brought off the DL and is starting Thursday's game against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the Dodgers activated Ryu prior to Thursday's game. Before he was placed on the disabled list, Ryu had started five games and compiled an ERA and WHIP of 4.05 and 1.31, respectively.

Ryu (hip) will draw the start for Thursday's game against the Rockies, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu, who has been sidelined with a hip issue since May 1, will be activated from the 10-day disabled list Thursday and draw the tough test of attempting to tame the Rockies' bats in Coors Field. The southpaw currently sports a 4.05 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over his first five starts of the 2017 season.

Ryu (hip) could start Thursday against the Rockies in Colorado, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
As Stephen puts it, Ryu "kind of has to pitch Thursday," with both Rich Hill (blister) and Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) unavailable and the Dodgers seemingly intent on giving Clayton Kershaw an extra day of rest. Ross Stripling is one fallback option if Ryu is not cleared or the team could dip into the minor-league system. Ryu failed to make it out of the fifth inning in a prior start at Coors Field this season -- he allowed two runs on six hits in a loss.

Per manager Dave Roberts, Ryu (hip) will not need a rehab assignment and could be activated after the minimum 10 days on the disabled list, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The embattled southpaw went on the disabled list on May 1, but the Dodgers seem to be relatively unconcerned about the issue at hand. As long as everything goes according to plan, Ryu would be in line to make his next appearance May 13 against the Rockies.

Ryu was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a hip issue, Andy McCullough of The Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will miss at least one start while he deals with this injury, and it's unknown right now if he will need a rehab start or two before coming back. Ryu was 1-4 with a 4.05 ERA in five starts (26.2 innings) with 29 strikeouts and eight walks to start the season.
