Ryu (groin) was activated from the 60-day disabled list and confirmed as the starter Wednesday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu is set to rejoin the starting rotation after spending more than three months on the disabled list with a groin injury. Prior to landing on the shelf, the 31-year-old compiled a shiny 2.12 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 36:10 K:BB across six starts (29.2 innings).

Ryu (groin) will start Wednesday's game against the Giants, Pedro Moura of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Ryu will rejoin the rotation this week after making just two rehab starts. The Korean import found loads of success early on this season, producing a 2.12 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP in his first six starts. If all goes according to plan, he'll take on southpaw Derek Holland in the series finale with San Francisco.

Ryu (groin) won't make another minor-league rehab start and could come off the disabled list this week, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dave Roberts indicated Ryu could start against the Giants on Wednesday, but also listed Ross Stripling and Kenta Maeda as options to start. Alex Wood (hamstring) is set to come of the DL on Tuesday and Maeda seems poised to shift to the bullpen, but it remains to be seen if the team opts for a six-man rotation or shifts another starter to the bullpen.

Ryu (groin) covered five innings in his rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Oklahoma City, giving up one run on five hits and no walks while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu had been scheduled to make his second rehab start at Double-A Tulsa, but the Dodgers called an audible and moved him up a level on the minor-league ladder. The increased competition proved no match for Ryu, who pumped in 51 of his 71 pitches for strikes and allowed only one extra-base hit. Ryu has looked sharp in both of his rehab outings and may only need to make one more start in the minors before rejoining the Dodgers. The lefty has been on the 60-day disabled list since early May with the left groin strain.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Ryu's (groin) next rehab start would come at Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday or Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic Los Angeles reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will be slated to cover five innings or 75 pitches in the outing, which will be the second of his rehab assignment. After a three-month layoff due to the groin strain, Ryu returned to game action Aug. 2 for High-A Rancho Cucamonga, needing only 47 pitches to navigate four scoreless frames. If he approaches the projected workload in his next turn for Tulsa and performs reasonably well, Ryu may only require one additional rehab start beyond that before returning from the 60-day disabled list. Given the Dodgers' ample rotation depth, it's uncertain if Ryu will slot back into a starting role once activated, even though he posted a stellar 2.12 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 36:10 K:BB in 29.2 innings prior to hitting the shelf.

Ryu (groin) threw 47 pitches over four scoreless innings during his rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu looked solid, recording four strikeouts while allowing only two hits in his first game since tearing his left groin in early May. The 31-year-old will likely require a few more rehab starts to rebuild his stamina and could be looking at a return in late August or early September.

Ryu (groin) will start a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu is slated to throw 3-to-4 innings after a two-inning simulated game last Wednesday. The 31-year-old could still be on track for a return in mid-August as he returns from the groin strain he sustained in early May.

Ryu (groin) threw a two-inning simulated game Wednesday and will pitch a three-inning simulated game Saturday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
If all goes well during Saturday's session, Ryu will likely start a rehab assignment next week. The left-hander is expected to require multiple games at the minor-league level before he's able to come off the 60-day DL, so a mid-August return seems to be the target at this point.

Ryu (groin) will begin a rehab assignment next week, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu has been out since May 2 with a groin strain. Given the length of his absence, his rehab assignment could last for several outings, leaving him still a few weeks away from returning.

Ryu (groin) tossed 25 pitches from a mound Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu remains on the disabled list since suffering a groin strain May 2 against Arizona, although he continues to make progress. An exact timetable for his return is yet to be determined, but he's expected to be activated off the 60-day DL sometime during the second half of the season.
