EDGE Analysis
The details surrounding Ryu's injury have yet to be disclosed, but the decision was made to pull him from the ballgame after he spoke with both the team trainer and manager Dave Roberts. He'll be considered day-to-day until the team updates his status.

Ryu (2-0) earned a victory against the Giants, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out five and walking none across seven innings Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The only two runs Ryu yielded came on a homer from Madison Bumgarner in the sixth. Because of two double plays, Ryu faced the minimal in six of the seven innings he pitched. The 32-year-old has been sharp to open the season, going 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 13 strikeouts in his first two outings.

Ryu (1-0) got the win against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, scattering four hits and just one earned run over six strong innings, striking out eight with no walks as the Dodgers cruised to a 12-5 victory.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu got the nod for the Opening Day start with Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) sidelined and didn't disappoint, with the sixth-inning solo shot he served up to Adam Jones the only earned run he yielded on the day. The lefty will look to keep it going in his next start, which will pit him against Madison Bumgarner and the Giants on Tuesday.

Ryu is in line to start Opening Day Pedro Moura of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) has been the Opening Day stalwart for several seasons, Ryu will draw the honor in his place. The veteran lefty has thrown 15 innings this spring, striking out 12 and walking none.

Ryu is working on adding a slider to his pitch mix, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu threw a slider early on in his career, though he phased the pitch out over the past two seasons in favor of a cutter. The southpaw is planning to reintroduce the pitch in 2019, adding it to a repertoire that already features a fastball, cutter, curveball and changeup. Ryu has yet to test the pitch out this spring, though that hasn't stopped him from impressing early on; he fired another two scoreless innings in Friday's game against the Padres, allowing two hits while striking out two.

Ryu will accept the one-year, $17.9 million qualifying offer from the Dodgers on Monday, Jon Heyman of FancredSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will return to Los Angeles for at least one more season. The southpaw was stellar across 15 starts for the National League champions in 2018, posting a 1.97 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 89:15 K:BB across 82.1 innings despite missing three-and-a-half months with a groin injury. He'll slot back into the middle of the Dodgers' rotation in 2019.

Ryu was extended the $17.9 million qualifying offer from the Dodgers prior to Friday's deadline, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will have 10 days to decide whether to accept the offer or look elsewhere on the free-agent market. The 31-year-old southpaw had a spectacular season that was unfortunately bothered by a groin issue that cost him three-and-a-half months in the middle of the year. Across 15 big-league starts, he logged a 1.97 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 89 strikeouts in 82.1 innings and went on to help the Dodgers reach the Fall Classic for a second consecutive season.

Ryu will start Game 2 of the World Series against the Red Sox on Wednesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will be sandwiched between Clayton Kershaw -- who will start Game 1 -- and Walker Buehler, who gets the ball for Game 3. The southpaw owns a 4.40 ERA and 15:2 K:BB through three starts (14.1 innings) this postseason. He was tagged for five runs on seven hits in just three innings in his most recent start (a loss to the Brewers in Game 6 of the NLCS).

Ryu will start Game 6 of the NLCS against the Brewers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Ryu will return to the bump in Milwaukee after pitching Game 2 on Saturday. During that start, he gave up two runs on six hits while striking out four across 4.1 innings and didn't factor into the decision. The southpaw will once again go up against Wade Miley with the chance to propel the Dodgers back to the Fall Classic.

Ryu will get the start for Game 2 of the NLCS against Milwaukee on Saturday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu will take the ball for Game 2 in Milwaukee after Clayton Kershaw toes the rubber in Game 1. Ryu tossed Game 1 of the NLDS against the Braves and came away with the victory after tossing seven scoreless frames while punching out eight, so he'll look to carry that success into the next round of the postseason.
