Ryu was scratched from Wednesday's spring start due to an illness, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
There appears to be some sort of virus working its way through the Dodgers' clubhouse, with Ryu becoming the latest victim. In his place, Wilmer Font will draw the start. Expect Ryu to be back out on the mound in a couple days.

Ryu was left off of the Dodgers' NLDS roster, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers selected Alex Wood as their NLDS Game 4 starter and ultimately decided to withhold Ryu from the 25-man roster after he reportedly stated that he wasn't comfortable pitching out of the bullpen. If the Dodgers reach the NLCS, Ryu would have an outside chance at being added to the roster prior to that series.

Ryu (5-9) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk with a strikeout over two innings to take the loss Friday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu has not completed the fifth inning since he returned to action September 17 against the Nationals and hasn't completed the third inning in either of his last two starts. The way Ryu is pitching down the stretch, it's hard to imagine the Dodgers will have much confidence to go to him in big spots in the postseason.

Ryu (forearm) will start Friday against the Rockies after throwing a successful 34-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
While this is good news for Ryu's prospects of making the Dodgers' postseason roster, starting him at Coors Field could be bad news for fantasy owners. The soft-tossing lefty has given up nine runs over 10 innings to the Rockies this season, making him nothing more than a desperation play Friday.

Ryu (forearm) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The results of Ryu's bullpen session will determine if he's healthy enough to make a start this Friday or Sunday against the Rockies at Coors Field. His availability for this weekend's series is still very much up in the air at the moment, but those details should be ironed out following his throwing session.

Ryu (forearm) experienced reduced swelling and played catch Monday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu suffered a bruise after he was struck by a line drive Saturday. He will complete a bullpen session later in the week, at which point his availability for Friday's start against the Rockies will be determined. Ideally, the Dodgers can get him in one more game before the postseason begins.

Ryu suffered a left forearm contusion while being struck with a batted ball Saturday, but X-rays came back negative, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw finished his outing after 2.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits and striking out one. Ryu's immediate future remains in doubt, especially since the Dodgers have depth to replace him in the rotation as they look to play out the regular season before likely holding homefield advantage.

Ryu left Saturday's game in the third inning after being hit in the left hand by a line drive, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was hit by a Joe Panik comebacker and exited. Ross Stripling is taking over for Ryu. Expect more news toward the end of this game or in the postgame press conferences.

Ryu didn't give up a run on three hits over 4.2 innings of a no-decision Sunday against the Nationals. He walked two and struck out five in what ended up a 7-1 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu didn't fair terribly, but a pitch count of 98, including only 56 strikes, necessitated his early departure. He's failed to factor into the decision more often than not lately (3-2 over his last 16 appearances), which has made the South Korean somewhat of a headache for owners counting on him for wins. His 3.46 ERA has helped lessen the blow, however.

Ryu will make his next start Sunday against the Nationals, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryu made his last start Sep. 5 against the Diamondbacks and had his next start skipped in order to give him some additional time off. The southpaw will slot back into the rotation for Sunday's contest against the Nationals, with original scheduled starter Kenta Maeda being bumped back to throw on Wednesday or Thursday in the series against the Phillies.
