The Padres aren't actively looking to move Huston Street in the wake of signing Joaquin Benoit, Corey Brock of MLB.com reports. The Padres now have two pitchers who saved over 23 games last season, but the addition of Benoit doesn't necessarily spell the end of Street's time in San Diego. The 30-year-old had a 2.70 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in 56 2/3 innings this past season despite allowing 12 home runs. He'll likely enter spring as the team's closer, with Benoit serving in a setup role.

Huston Street will be away from the team for the next two games, as he returns to Texas to attend the funeral of his grandmother. That makes Luke Gregerson the Padres primary ninth inning option for the first couple games of the week.
