Gonzalez (3-0) allowed just two runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five batters over 6.2 innings during Thursday's win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Considering the favorable hitting environment at Coors Field, this was a rock-solid outing from Gonzalez. The veteran lefty has got off to an excellent start to the campaign with a 1.62 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 7.0 K/9. After posting a 8.7 K/9 and 22.4 strikeout percentage last year, Gonzalez likely has some positive regression ahead in the punchouts column, too. He'll look to continue his strong run against the Diamondbacks next week.

Gonzalez (2-0) allowed one run on two hits and three walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez silenced the Mets bats through five innings before giving up his only run in the sixth frame, and he left the contest 3-1 lead. He's yet to allow more than two earned runs in any of his four starts, and he holds a 1.35 ERA. Although he's unlikely to stay this hot for an extended period of time, fantasy owners should continue using him until he shows signs of slowing down. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Rockies.

Gonzalez allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks across 7.1 innings en route to a no-decision Sunday against the Phillies. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez cruised into the eighth inning but allowed an unearned run after two consecutive hits and an error before he was removed from the game. The bullpen proceeded to allow an inherited runner to score, ruining his chance at a victory, but a Bryce Harper homer in the bottom of the ninth salvaged the game. Gonzalez's early returns have been outstanding, as he has allowed just three earned runs across his first 20.1 innings for a 1.33 ERA. Some bad luck has prevented him from picking up a couple of additional wins, and he will look to achieve a better outcome Saturday against the Mets.

Gonzalez (1-0) allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out six over seven innings in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old lefty has looked very good through his first two starts, posting a 0.69 ERA and 13:2 K:BB in 13 innings. With the All-Star Game taking place in his home town of Miami this year, Gonzalez made it an offseason goal to pitch in the game, and at least through the early part of the season he looks very much like a man on a mission. He'll get his next start Sunday at home against the Phillies.

Gonzalez spun six shutout innings Thursday, allowing seven hits and a walk while striking out seven, but came away with a no-decision in a 4-3 10-inning loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty threw 57 of 90 pitches for strikes but came up with a big pitch every time he needed it, keeping Miami hitters off-balance for six frames until a rain delay ended his outing. Gonzalez will next take the mound Tuesday at home against the Cardinals.

Gonzalez will start the third game of the season for the Nationals, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez was originally slated to start the Nationals' fourth game, but manager Dusty Baker decided to swap him and Max Scherzer in order to afford Scherzer an extra day of rest. The 31-year-old is now scheduled to make his 2017 debut on April 6 against the Marlins.

Gonzalez gave up five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings during Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Home runs by Jake Marisnick and Marwin Gonzalez accounted for most of the damage, but despite the rough line in the box score, the 31-year-old lefty increased his workload to 91 pitches and would seem to be ready for the regular season. Gonzalez will slot in as the Nats' fourth starter to begin the year, putting him in line to make his first appearance April 7 in Philadelphia.

Gonzalez allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out two over 4.1 innings during Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
He generally puts up good spring numbers -- Gonzalez hasn't had a Grapefruit League ERA over 2.84 since 2012 -- but he's been almost unhittable this year, giving up just eight hits in 16.1 innings along with a 1.10 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB. The veteran lefty won't be that good during the regular season, but his track record suggests he should at least be able to improve on last season's 4.57 ERA.

Gonzalez walked one and struck out two over five no-hit innings in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He's now got a stellar 0.75 ERA and 0.67 WHIP through 12 spring innings, although Gonzalez's 7:3 K:BB is a little less exciting. The Florida native has made noises this spring about appearing in the 2017 All-Star Game, which will be held in Miami, and his performance so far in March suggests he isn't joking around.

Gonzalez worked three innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
He's looked sharp through his first three spring outings, posting a 1.29 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in seven innings, but Friday marked the first time this March he started getting punchouts as well. Gonzalez is no fantasy ace, but he's been one of the more reliable mound assets around, winning at least 10 games and striking out at least 160 batters in seven straight seasons. There's no reason to suspect he won't make it eight straight in 2017.
