Giancarlo Stanton delivered a solo home run off of Santiago Casilla in the top of the tenth inning on Wednesday to give the Marlins a 3-2 victory over the Giants.
Stanton finished the game 3-for-5 with that solo blast. He's been on fire over the last week, with the homer being his third in his last four games, and fourth on the season. He has more raw power than any player in the league, and when he gets going can absolutely carry a team.

Giancarlo Stanton is not in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.
The reality is that Stanton will need scheduled days off until he proves he's completely recovered from an early-season knee injury. Greg Dobbs is starting in right field and batting sixth.

Giancarlo Stanton was dropped to sixth in Tuesday's lineup.
Stanton is off to a slow start this season while playing through cartilage damage in his left knee, batting just .229 with zero homers over 35 at-bats. We figure he'll slide back into the cleanup spot once he gets it going, but Logan Morrison will bat fourth Tuesday while the hot-hitting Omar Infante is fifth in the order.

Giancarlo Stanton (knee) went 2-for-4 in his return to the lineup Wednesday.
Both knocks were singles off of Roy Halladay. Stanton said before the game his injury was "(just) something that I'm going to have to deal with," but didn't appear any worse for the wear in the field or at the dish. It's certainly a concern, but if he's in the lineup, he should be expected to produce.

Giancarlo Stanton returned to the lineup Wednesday, but he admits that his left knee ailment is "something that's obviously not going to get much better by playing every day."
"Basically, it's the same type of stuff from Spring Training," Stanton said. "There is no specific injury to it. It's something that I'm going to have to deal with. There are times I'm going to have to deal with that, and some stretches that I won't." Exams have cleared Stanton of having any structural damage, but he still has inflammation, something that's been made worse by cold temperatures in Philadelphia. The Marlins plan to give Stanton, who says he has a "moderate" level of concern, periodic time off. He was batting just .235/.235/.294 with no homers going into Wednesday's game.

Giancarlo Stanton (knee) is back in the Marlins' lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.
Stanton was a late-scratch from Monday's lineup due to left knee pain, but it wasn't related to the issue he dealt with during spring training. Use him with confidence in your fantasy lineup.

Giancarlo Stanton was scratched from Monday's game against the Phillies due to left knee pain.
The Marlins have listed the 22-year-old slugger as "day-to-day," and don't seem all that concerned that the knee discomfort is a serious matter. Austin Kearns is starting in right field Monday in the Phillies' home opener.
