Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Phillies, Red Sox, Yankees, Orioles, Cubs and "many more" teams have inquired about Giancarlo Stanton.
It's natural that teams are asking the Marlins about Stanton following their blockbuster deal with the Blue Jays, but there's little reason for Miami to trade the cost-controlled young star. If they would wind up making him available, most every team in baseball would probably have some level of interest.

Giancarlo Stanton continued to voice his displeasure with the Marlins after Tuesday's blockbuster deal with the Blue Jays, questioning the motivation of the deal, and simply stating that he "doesn't like this at all."
Stanton added that he had former Marlins players warn him that something like this could happen. Continuing his frustration, he noted that while he knows how he feels, he can't imagine how the city and the fans feel over the situation. While he is unlikely to be traded anytime soon, it will certainly hurt the Marlins chances of signing him to a long-term extension.

According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, the Marlins have no intention to trade Giancarlo Stanton.
Stanton expressed his frustration on Twitter following reports of Tuesday's blockbuster trade with the Blue Jays, but Frisaro hears that the remains untouchable, at least for 2013. The 23-year-old will be arbitration-eligible for the first time next offseason, so things could change by then. The Marlins are not in discussions with Stanton's representatives on a long-term contract, but the young slugger could be reluctant to commit after their recent fire sale anyway.

The Marlins are believed to have interest in Cubs minor league hitting coordinator Anthony Iapoce for their hitting coach vacancy.
Iapoce had spent the past three seasons as the roving hitting coordinator in the Blue Jays organization before signing with the Cubs on November 1. Iapoce had previously worked as a hitting instructor in the Marlins organization and has ties to manager Mike Redmond, though it's unclear if the team has asked for the Cubs permission to interview.

According to an anonymous source, the Marlins interviewed Larry Bowa for their managerial vacancy on Friday.
Bowa allegedly became the second person to interview for the position, after Reds' pitching coach Bryan Price. Bowa hasn't managed since his final season with the Phillies in 2004 and owns a career 418-435 record.

Giancarlo Stanton homered and drove home three runs in a losing effort against the Phillies on Saturday.
Stanton finished the night 3-for-4 and also scored two runs. He has now homered in each of his first two games since returning to the lineup after missing nine games with an intercostal strain. The 22-year-old slugger is enjoying an outstanding season, hitting .290/.362/.613 with 36 homers and 85 RBI in just 119 games on the season. He may already be the most prestigious power hitter in the league, and could notch a 50-homer season as early as next year.

Giancarlo Stanton doubled and hit a solo home run off Cliff Lee in his return to the lineup Friday against the Phillies.
Manager Ozzie Guillen said that it was unlikely that Stanton to play Friday, but he's apparently received clearance from the Marlins, and will finish out the final week of the season. He hadn't appeared in a game since September 16 with an intercoastal strain.

Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen said that Giancarlo Stanton (intercostal strain) is unlikely to return Friday.
Stanton hasn't played since September 16 due to a strained left intercostal muscle. He's making progress, but the Marlins are now shooting for a Saturday return.

Giancarlo Stanton (intercostal strain) is out of the Marlins' starting lineup again on Thursday.
Stanton is hoping to return for Friday's series-opener against the Phillies. The young slugger hasn't appeared in a game since September 16 because of a strained left intercostal muscle. Scott Cousins will start in right field in Thursday night's series finale with the Braves.
