Stanton launched a mammoth 475-foot home run, his 10th of the season, to lead his team to a 6-4 win against the Phillies on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton's blast in the bottom of the eighth gave the Marlins a two-run lead and helped secure their eleventh win in the last twelve games. Stanton has simply been the best hitter in baseball over that stretch, cranking seven home runs while posting an absurd .395/.531/1.026 line. For the season, he's now slashing .274/.391/.632 with 10 home runs and 24 RBI. As Giancarlo goes, so go the Marlins.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, a walk, two RBI and two runs against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After seeing his eight-game hitting streak end the day before, Stanton got right back to work on rebuilding the ol' batting average. He's now smashed six homers in his last nine games, reminding anyone with short-term memory issues about his status as one of the game's top power hitters.

Stanton went 1-for-4, hitting his second home run in two games against the Brewers this weekend.
EDGE Analysis
The projected distance on the mammoth home run was 460 feet. Stanton is red hot, as he has a bomb in five of his last six games. He is also 9-for-22 (.409) with nine RBI during that stretch.

Stanton is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Ichiro Suzuki will take over in right field for Stanton and bat leadoff Friday with manager Don Mattingly giving his star slugger the night off. Friday is believed to just be a routine day off for Stanton, so he figures to rejoin the lineup Saturday in Milwaukee.

Stanton hit his sixth home run, a three-run shot in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton now has three home runs in three days, and this one may have been the sweetest, a three-run blast off Clayton Kershaw that proved to be a game-winner. Stanton's latest stretch shows that a slow start for power hitters is often nothing to worry about -- in the past three days he has increased his slugging percentage from .368 all the way to .536.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, a walk, and a pair of RBI in Monday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton followed his solo blast in the fourth with an RBI double the next inning, accounting for two of Miami's three runs. The 26-year-old slugger has gone yard in consecutive contests, and is up to five dingers in 17 games. What separates Stanton from most of the other guys off to fast starts in the home run department is that he actually possesses the power to sustain this pace over a full season, health permitting.

Stanton went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk Sunday at the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton's fourth blast of the season gave the Marlins an early lead in a game they'd eventually win. After going hitless in his last 12 at-bats, hopefully the multi-hit effort will launch him onto a hot streak. April has been a bit of a struggle for the slugger, as his slash line sits at .230/.324/.443.

Stanton is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
After getting his first day off of the season Thursday, Stanton will get back into the order at the cleanup spot for the Marlins' series opener in San Francisco. Stanton had been slumping a bit by his standards leading into his day off, batting .217 over the last week. He'll be facing San Francisco right-hander Jeff Samardzija.

Stanton is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton has yet to really get anything going with the bat, so manager Don Mattingly decided to give him his first day off of the season Thursday in hopes of providing a spark. Ichiro Suzuki will get the start in right field Thursday in Stanton's place.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored on Monday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton is off to a slow start this year, hitting just .238 early on. Although the slugger has three home runs in 42 at-bats, he has no other extra-base hits thus far. Stanton is a career .269 hitter and has prodigious power. His bat should pick up sooner rather than later.
