Stanton continues to look lost at the plate, going 0-for-4 with three more strikeouts in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old's nightmarish season continues, with the trio of whiffs he suffered Friday bringing his season total to an astounding 67 in just 164 at-bats. Stanton's strikeout rate is now the highest it's ever been in his nine-plus professional seasons, save for a 35-plate appearance stint in Single-A ball in 2007. While he has managed to keep his power at respectable levels, that aspect of his game has suffered a downturn in recent weeks as well. After recording eight homers in April, Stanton has just four roundtrippers since that point, only two in his last 42 at-bats.

Stanton went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, two walks and a strikeout against Pittsburgh on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton has been a huge fantasy disappointment this season, but the fact that he's hitting, getting on base and producing runs could indicate he might be leaving his slump behind. His average is still a paltry .213, but he's hit safely in four of the past five games. All the signs indicate he's on the right track.

Stanton is not in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Pirates, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton returned to the starting lineup for the first time in seven games Wednesday, but will get a day off Thursday as the Marlins look to ease him back into the swing of things. The 26-year-old slugger went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in his return, bringing his average down to a lowly .210 on the season.

Stanton went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk against Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton missed the last seven games with a side injury, but the time off the lineup didn't help him to overcome his struggles. The slugger saw his average decrease to .210, and he hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 13. Stanton has been pretty inconsistent this year, and if he doesn't hit then his fantasy value is pretty limited.

EDGE Analysis
Stanton had missed the previous seven games with a side injury, but appears to finally be healthy to the relief of many fantasy owners. Stanton will now focus on improving his .214 average and try to get back in a groove offensively.

EDGE Analysis
Stanton will miss a seventh consecutive game as he continues to nurse some discomfort in his side. EDGE Analysis
He once again got in some during batting practice prior to Sunday's game while adding some drills on the field and appears to be on the verge of returning to the lineup. Meanwhile, some further details of the injury have emerged as Stanton indicated he initially got hurt in a collision with Marcel Ozuna on May 15 and aggravated the injury making a throw Tuesday against the Rays. He'll return to a .214/.326/.481 line with 12 home runs and 26 RBI through 43 games.
