Atlanta agreed to trade Gattis to Houston on Wednesday in exchange for prospects Mike Fotynewicz, Rio Ruiz and Andrew Thurman, New York Post writer Joel Sherman reports. Gattis first needs to pass a physical with Houston in order for the trade to finalize, but the other aspects of the transaction are evidently settled by now. Houston is poised to possess a great deal of right-hitting slugging power between Gattis, Chris Carter and George Springer, while the trade would leave Atlanta without the second of its top-two home run hitters from 2014 with Justin Upton already gone.
