Fedde (8-9) took the loss Friday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over 4.2 innings as the Cardinals fell 6-1 to the Mariners. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was locked in a scoreless pitchers' duel with Bryce Miller through four innings, but Fedde blinked first and loaded the bases in the fifth on a hit-by-pitch, a single and a walk before Randy Arozarena brought home the game's first run with a sacrifice fly. Matthew Liberatore relieved Fedde and prevented any further damage, but the Cards were never able to tie things back up. Over seven starts with St. Louis, Fedde has a 4.30 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB through 37.2 innings, a far cry from his numbers with the White Sox before being traded. He'll look to find his early-season form in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Toronto.

Fedde (8-8) took the loss Friday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The St. Louis right-hander's regression with his new ballclub continued in this 96-pitch outing despite generating a solid 13 whiffs. He struggled the second time through the Yankees lineup in the third, yielding an RBI-double to Juan Soto and retiring Aaron Judge before Austin Wells cracked a two-run homer to right field. After pitching to a 3.11 ERA over 121.2 innings with the White Sox, Fedde now sports a 4.64 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB across 33 frames. He tentatively is scheduled to make his upcoming start against the Mariners at home next weekend.

Fedde did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over six innings against the Twins. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde tossed his most effective game as a Cardinal, putting together his first quality start in five starts since joining the club. A leadoff homer in the bottom of the first by Willi Castro was the only run Fedde allowed and one of only two hits the Twins could muster off the veteran righty. However, he was also provided little run support and when he was removed, the game was tied at one. Fedde's ERA since joining the Cardinals now stands at 4.23 over 27.2 innings. His next start is scheduled to take place in the Bronx against the Yankees.

Fedde (8-7) took the loss Tuesday, giving up two runs on six hits and four walks over 5.2 innings as the Cardinals fell 3-2 to the Brewers. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander tossed only 53 of 95 pitches for strikes, and his inefficiency left him one out short of his 11th quality start of the season. Fedde has had a bumpy beginning to his St. Louis tenure after being acquired at the trade deadline, going 1-3 in his first four starts for the team with a 4.98 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB through 21.2 innings. He'll look to get on track in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Minnesota.

Fedde (8-6) took the loss against the Reds on Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde generated plenty of weak contact, but he registered only six whiffs on 89 pitches and was burned by two home runs. He has failed to log a quality start in three outings with the Cardinals, yielding 10 earned runs over 16 innings. On the season, the 31-year-old owns a 3.40 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 120:38 K:BB across 137.2 frames and lines up for a home matchup with the Brewers next week.

Fedde (8-5) allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings to earn the win over the Rays on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde's second start with the Cardinals went much better than his first, as he was able to limit the damage to a single run in the third inning. He allowed five runs over five innings in his team debut last Friday. Fedde has failed to pitch past the fifth inning in four of his last five starts, though the Cardinals' bullpen makes that less of an issue from a team perspective. Overall, the right-hander is at a 3.28 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 118:36 K:BB over 131.2 innings across 23 starts between the White Sox and the Cardinals this year. He's projected to make his next appearance at Cincinnati.

Fedde (7-5) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on six hits over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
All five runs charged to Fedde came in the second inning -- the right-hander allowed five hits in the frame, including a three-run Christian Bethancourt homer and an Ian Happ solo shot. While he was able to finish the outing on a high note, retiring the last 10 batters faced, it certainly wasn't the debut the Cards had in mind. The five runs charged match a season high for Fedde, who posted a 2.85 ERA over his final eight starts (47.1 innings) with the White Sox. Overall, the 31-year-old Fedde sports a 3.34 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 112:34 K:BB through 22 starts (126.2 innings) this season. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, tentatively scheduled for next week at home versus Tampa Bay.

Fedde is scheduled to make his first start with the Cardinals on Friday versus the Cubs in Chicago, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Before being acquired from the White Sox on Monday, Fedde made his final start with the Pale Hose this past Saturday. Following Monday's trade, Fedde won't join the Cardinals in St. Louis before their series with the Rangers comes to an end Wednesday, as he'll instead remain in Chicago while waiting for his new teammates to arrive Thursday. Fedde went 7-4 with a 3.11 ERA and 1.14 WHIP over his 21 starts with the White Sox this season.

The Cardinals acquired Fedde, outfielder Tommy Pham and a player to be named later or cash considerations on Monday in a three-team trade involving the White Sox and Dodgers, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports. The White Sox acquired infielder/outfielder Miguel Vargas, infielders Alexander Albertus (undisclosed) and Jeral Perez and a player to be named or cash considerations, while the Dodgers received utility man Tommy Edman (wrist) and right-handers Michael Kopech and Oliver Gonzalez.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde has had a breakout season in Chicago following one year in Korea and provides an immediate boost to a Cardinals rotation that's struggled for the last several weeks. With the addition of Fedde, Andre Pallante will likely move to the bullpen. Fedde's last start with the White Sox came Saturday, so he could be ready to make his Cardinals debut as soon as Thursday in Chicago against the Cubs.

Fedde (7-4) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings to take the loss versus the Mariners on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde wasn't sharp, throwing 47 of 79 pitches for strikes in his shortest start of the season. He ran into trouble the second time through the order, as the Mariners put up all three runs on his line in the fourth inning. It was the first time over four starts in July he's allowed more than two runs. The right-hander has been a pleasant surprise this year with a 3.11 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 108:34 K:BB through 121.2 innings over 21 starts. His career high for innings in a year in North America is 138.1 frames back in 2021, but he threw 180.1 innings in the KBO last year, so fatigue down the stretch shouldn't be an issue. Fedde is tentatively projected to make his next start at Minnesota.
