Fedde allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one in four innings of Wednesday's 13-12 win over the Phillies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The righty's streak of three consecutive scoreless outings ended as he yielded five runs, four of which came on two homers. Walks have been a legitimate issue for Fedde, who's issued seven free passes over his last two starts and at least two in nine of 11 games this season. Even so, his 3.90 ERA ranks second in the Nationals' starting rotation behind Max Scherzer. Fedde is projected to face the Mets on Monday for his next start.

Fedde didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 win over the Mets, giving up two hits and four walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander tossed 61 of 100 pitches for strikes while extending his scoreless streak to 20 innings, but he wasn't rewarded with a win as the Nats didn't come up with the game's only run until the ninth inning. The quality start was Fedde's third of the year, and he'll carry a 3.33 ERA and 49:24 K:BB through 51.1 innings into his next outing.

Fedde is scheduled to make a second turn through the rotation in Friday's series opener versus the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Max Scherzer (groin) recently joining Stephen Strasburg (neck) on the 10-day injured list, Fedde looks like he'll benefit from an extended run in the Washington rotation until both starters are healthy. After returning from the COVID-19 injured list last weekend, Fedde covered five scoreless innings (82 pitches) and struck out seven June 12 versus the Giants in what was his first outing with the big club since May 16.

EDGE Analysis
It marked Fedde's first start since May 16, as the right-hander had been on the COVID-19 injured list for nearly four weeks. He was sharp in his return, limiting San Francisco to just four singles while issuing no free passes on 82 pitches. Fedde (COVID-19) was activated ahead of his start in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
It's not a great matchup on paper for Fedde, as the Giants' rank sixth in the majors with a 106 wRC+. He most recently logged five innings in a June 5 rehab start, so he could go deep enough to qualify for the win, but he will be facing Giants ace Kevin Gausman.

EDGE Analysis
It was already reported that Fedde would likely start one of the two games Saturday, and now we know that he will face Giants ace Kevin Gausman in Game 1. Fedde logged five innings in a rehab start June 5, so he could go deep enough to qualify for the win, but it's not a great matchup as the Giants rank sixth in the majors with a 106 wRC+.

Fedde (illness) will likely start one of the two games in Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fedde was initially expected to start Friday's matchup, but Max Scherzer will now start that game after Thursday's contest was postponed due to inclement weather. As a result, the right-hander will likely get an extra day of rest before he's officially reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list.

Fedde (illness) is expected to return from the COVID-19 injured list to start Friday versus the Giants, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old threw a bullpen session Tuesday and is on the cusp of rejoining the rotation after spending the past three weeks on the COVID IL after testing positive for the virus. The Nationals haven't officially confirmed Fedde as Friday's starter, but he's the likely candidate to take the mound with the rotation plans for the rest of the four-game series already announced.
