Cabrera (3-6) earned the win over the Giants on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was shaky early on, issuing two walks in the first inning while needing 28 pitches to get through the frame. The right-hander was still able to get through the inning unscathed, however, and managed to keep the Giants off the scoreboard until the bottom of the fifth when he surrendered back-to-back hits with one out, followed by an RBI groundout from Mike Yastrzemski. Cabrera was then relieved by Xzavion Curry with two outs in the sixth, narrowly missing out on his fourth quality start of the season. The 26-year-old had a decent August, pitching to the tune of a 3.58 ERA while going 2-3. However, he's now issued multiple walks in nine consecutive starts and has posted three or fewer strikeouts in three of his last four.

Cabrera (2-6) took the loss against Colorado on Monday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera had his swing-and-miss stuff working, as he induced 18 whiffs en route to eight punchouts. The right-hander got through four frames without giving up a run but faltered late in his outing, yielding two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth before departing. Cabrera ended up with his third straight loss, and he also walked multiple batters for his eighth consecutive start. He has a healthy 81 strikeouts over 70.2 innings this season, but Cabrera has also issued 40 free passes, and his 5.09 BB/9 is second-worst in the league among pitchers who have thrown at least 70 frames.

Cabrera (2-5) took the loss against Arizona on Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts across six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera battled but allowed nine hard-hit balls while generating just two swinging strikes on 90 pitches. Still, the 26-year-old put a six-run outing Wednesday behind him and has posted two quality starts and two scoreless efforts in four August appearances. On the year, he owns a 5.65 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 73:38 K:BB across 65.1 innings and lines up for risky matchup at Coors Field next week.

Cabrera (2-4) took the loss against Philadelphia on Wednesday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two batters over four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was handed an early 3-0 lead but couldn't hold it. The big blow against him was a Kyle Schwarber grand slam in the fourth inning that turned a three-run lead into a one-run deficit. Cabrera had been pitching well coming into Wednesday, posting 12 scoreless innings over his previous two starts. However, walks have been an issue for him this season -- he's issued multiple free passes in 10 of his 13 starts and has handed out 35 walks across 59.1 frames overall. It's an issue that has plagued Cabrera throughout his career, as he has posted a BB/9 lower than 5.0 in just one of his four MLB campaigns.

Cabrera came away with a no-decision in Friday's 6-2 extra-inning loss to the Padres, allowing four hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander extended his shutout streak to 12 innings as he fired 64 of 106 pitches for strikes, but the Miami bullpen squandered a 2-0 lead as soon as Cabrera left the mound. Control remains an issue for the 26-year-old, but he's been able to work around the traffic he puts on the basepaths -- Cabrera has given up three runs or less in five straight starts, posting a 2.00 ERA over that stretch despite a less impressive 1.26 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB in 27 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend against the Mets.

Cabrera (2-3) picked up the win Sunday against Atlanta, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out eight in five scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera did not allow an earned run for the first time this season, striking out eight batters to earn his first win since April 21. The 26-year-old has righted the ship over his past four starts, logging a 2.70 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 22:13 K:BB across 20 innings. Cabrera owns an impressive 11.9 K/9, but his ugly 5.96 ERA and 1.49 WHIP make him a highly volatile fantasy option. He is currently scheduled to face the Padres next weekend.

Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said Wednesday that Cabrera is expected to make his next scheduled start Sunday in Atlanta after testing on his left knee came back clean, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was removed from his start Tuesday versus the Rays in the sixth inning after tweaking the knee while covering first base earlier in the contest. However, the right-hander's departure seems to have been mostly precautionary. Cabrera has put up a 6.65 ERA over 10 starts with Miami this season.

Cabrera was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rays due to a knee injury, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera reportedly tweaked his left knee while covering first base in the fifth inning, causing him to be pulled two pitches into the sixth frame. He's slated to undergo imaging Wednesday, at which point a clearer picture regarding his status for his next start will emerge. Prior to his removal, the 26-year-old gave up two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters.

Cabrera allowed three runs on three hits and four walks while striking out six batters over 5.1 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera yielded only three hits -- all singles -- but put four batters on base on free passes. Three of those walks went to the final eight hitters he faced, and the right-hander ran out of steam in the sixth after getting through five frames without allowing a run. Cabrera departed in the sixth with the bases loaded after letting three straight batters get aboard, and all three of those runners later came around to score. Cabrera walked five men in his previous start, so he has now issued nine free passes over 10 innings across his past two appearances. That isn't a recipe for success, though he's managed to keep afloat by yielding a manageable four earned runs over that span.

Cabrera came away with a no-decision in Friday's 6-4 win over the Mets, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and five walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander got only 40 of his 81 pitches over the plate, and even though the Marlins staked him to a 4-0 lead by the end of the third inning, Cabrera couldn't stick around long enough to qualify for a win. He had posted an 11:1 K:BB in his last two starts before the All-Star break, but the time off appears to have cost Cabrera his feel for the strike zone. He also got taken deep by Jeff McNeil on Friday, and Cabrera's served up nine homers in only 33 innings this season, contributing to his bloated 7.36 ERA and 1.67 WHIP despite a career-high 28.1 percent strikeout rate. He remains a volatile fantasy option heading into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Orioles.
