Cabrera did not factor into the decision in Monday's 8-7 win over the Cubs, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The Miami right-hander returned from a nail injury to make his first start since May 10. Cabrera showed no ill effects of the injury and generated a solid 15 whiffs out of 90 total pitches. All of the runs he conceded came on one swing of the bat when he yielded a three-run homer to Miguel Amaya in the fourth. Through 34.1 innings, Cabrera now sports a 5.50 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB. He is currently slated to make his next start at the Angels this weekend.

Cabrera (finger) will start Monday's game against the Cubs, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera was originally slated to make his next start this weekend against Tampa Bay, but those plans were derailed by fluid buildup near his fingernail. His delay between starts will only be a few days, however, as manager Clayton McCullough confirmed Saturday that the right-hander will start the series opener against one of the top offenses in the majors.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said Friday that Cabrera's next start has been pushed back a few days due to fluid buildup in his fingernail area, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera's next turn had been scheduled to come up this weekend against the Rays, but he appears poised to take the ball early next week versus the Cubs instead, although McCullough didn't reveal the exact day for Cabrera's planned return. The righty has a history of fingernail/blister problems, but it appears at this juncture that this one will not require a stint on the 15-day injured list.

Cabrera did not factor into Saturday's decision against the White Sox, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera got off to a shaky start after yielding a solo home run to Andrew Vaughn in the first inning. Cabrera was able to recover and kept the White Sox off the board for the next four innings, tossing 85 pitches (55 strikes) over his five frames worked. It was the least amount of hits and runs allowed across his six starts this season, though he has a 5.52 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 26:13 K:BB across 29.1 innings. Cabrera is lineup to face Tampa Bay at home next weekend.

Cabrera did not factor into the decision Sunday against the A's, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
While it wasn't a dominant outing from Cabrera, the right-hander did a nice job of limiting the A's to a pair of second-inning runs while issuing just one walk, a season low. Cabrera now sports a 6.29 ERA through five starts (24.1 innings) this year with a 1.68 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB. He's currently scheduled for a road matchup with the White Sox in his next outing.

Cabrera didn't factor in the decision against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing five runs on nine hits and three walks while striking out two batters over four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera allowed a constant stream of baserunners, and the nine hits against him marked a season-worst tally. The right-hander failed to miss many bats, notching just three whiffs and two punchouts after recording at least five strikeouts in each of his first three starts this season. Cabrera hasn't been able to pull things together so far this season, as he now carries an ugly 7.23 ERA and 1.77 WHIP through 18.2 innings across four starts.

Cabrera did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's win over the Reds. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over five-plus innings while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera coughed up a solo homer to Noelvi Marte in the third inning and an RBI double to TJ Friedl in the fifth. The Reds plated another run in the sixth after Cabrera allowed a hit and a walk before being removed. He has not completed six innings in any of his three outings this season, resulting in a 6.14 ERA with an 18:8 K:BB through 14.2 frames. Cabrera is in line for a tough road matchup against the Dodgers next week.

Cabrera (0-1) was charged with the loss Thursday against the Diamondbacks. He surrendered five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six across four innings.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has now issued three walks in each of his first two starts of the campaign, and he also had a wild pitch and plunked a batter while allowing five stolen bases Thursday. Walks have been a problem throughout Cabrera's career with a 5.1 BB/9 over parts of five big-league seasons, so he's difficult to trust as a consistent fantasy option. Encouragingly, he worked up to 88 pitches Thursday, so he at least doesn't appear to have any workload limitations after opening the campaign on the IL due to a blister.

Cabrera did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-4 loss to the Nationals. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera started the season on the 15-day injured list due to a blister on his right middle finger that developed during spring training. He was activated off the IL on Friday and didn't yield a run through the first five innings. He ran into more resistance in the sixth inning and was pulled after giving up a two-run home run to Josh Bell and a walk to Alex Call. Cabrera fell one shy from registering a quality start and tossed 79 pitches (47 strikes) in his 2025 debut while generating 11 whiffs and 14 first-strike calls. The 26-year-old right-hander will look for his first win in his next start, which is slated for next week at home against the Diamondbacks.

The Marlins activated Cabrera (blister) from the 15-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera is set to make his season debut Friday against the Nationals after recovering from a blister on his right middle finger. The right-hander threw only 53 pitches during his second rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, so he will be on a relatively limited pitch count Friday.
