Cabrera (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on April 17, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
There had seemed to be a chance that Cabrera's next start would come with the Marlins, but the club has elected to give him one more rehab outing. He will be stretched out to six innings and/or 90 pitches in Wednesday's start. Assuming all goes well, Cabrera should rejoin the Marlins' rotation after that, setting him up to be back as soon as April 22 in Atlanta.

Cabrera (shoulder) is scheduled to make his third rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander is targeting about five innings and/or 80 pitches after throwing four frames in his previous rehab outing Friday. If all goes well Wednesday, Cabrera could be cleared to join Miami's starting rotation as early as next week.

Cabrera (shoulder) will make his second rehab start Friday with Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera is aiming to work four innings Friday, after he tossed three scoreless innings and 43 pitches in his first outing with Jacksonville last Sunday. The right-hander will presumably need one more rehab appearance after Friday's outing to get stretched out enough to the point that the Marlins are comfortable bringing him back from the 15-day injured list and inserting him into the big-league rotation. Cabrera's imminent return is welcome news for a Miami rotation that will be without Eury Perez (elbow) for the rest of the season when he undergoes Tommy John surgery Monday.

Cabrera (shoulder) allowed two hits and four walks over three scoreless innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera struck out two batters and got his pitch count to 43 over the three frames. The velocity on all of his pitches was up, with the 97.7 miles per hour he averaged on his four-seamer representing a 1.5 mph jump from last season. It's an encouraging performance on the whole, though Cabrera had his usual control problems. He will probably need at least two more rehab starts before rejoining the Marlins rotation.

Cabrera (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera has been sidelined since March 10 due to a right shoulder impingement he suffered while warming up for a Grapefruit League game, and Sunday will mark his first time testing his shoulder in a game setting. The 25-year-old righty is only scheduled to throw three innings -- or about 50 pitches -- Sunday, so he will certainly require more rehab starts as he builds up to a typical starter's workload.

The Marlins placed Cabrera (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera will unsurprisingly begin the season on the injured list after being diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement in mid-March. The 25-year-old threw 39 pitches an intrasquad scrimmage Tuesday and should soon begin a rehab assignment.

Cabrera (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch in an intrasquad scrimmage Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander continues building up his throwing program since being diagnosed with a shoulder impingement nearly two weeks ago. Cabrera remains without a clear timeline to join the Marlins' rotation, but if he continues to progress with no issues, his absence to begin the season may last only a few weeks.

Cabrera (shoulder) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
He threw all fastballs in what was his first time throwing off the mound since he was diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement just over a week ago. Cabrera figures to need another bullpen session or two before progressing to facing hitters and eventually games. There is no timetable for him rejoining the Marlins' rotation, but he's made relatively quick progress given the nature of the injury.

Cabrera (shoulder) is playing catch Friday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old was diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement earlier this week but was able to get back to throwing within a few days. Cabrera is likely to miss Opening Day as he ramps his throwing program back up, but he could make an early-season return if he's able to avoid any further issues.

Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said Wednesday that Cabrera (shoulder) will resume throwing soon, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabrera has been diagnosed with a right shoulder impingement and almost surely will miss out on the Opening Day roster. However, the Marlins seem confident that the big right-hander won't have to miss too much time to begin the season. Ryan Weathers is in line to slide into Miami's rotation until Cabrera is ready.
