Dillon Gee tossed 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball as the Mets defeated the Nationals 2-0 on Sunday. Gee struck out six and allowed only three hits against a dangerous Washington lineup to earn his first win of 2013. The 26-year-old right-hander got off to a rough start this season but has the talent to settle into a nice groove. He will take on the Phillies next time out.

Dillon Gee lost to the Rockies on Tuesday after allowing five runs in 4 2/3 innings. Gee was hurt by Daniel Murphy's total lack of range at second base on two plays, most notably the two-run single in the fifth that knocked him out of the game. Not that Gee was all that good, but if he had a league-average second baseman behind him, he'd have a better ERA right now. NL-only leaguers should hold on to him despite his 0-3 start.

Dillon Gee was rocked for seven runs on 10 hits over just three frames in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies. Gee pitched well last week in his first start since last July, but he was hit hard early and often in this one. Michael Young, Ryan Howard and John Mayberry all took Gee deep, and he also allowed a pair of doubles. He'll have a tough time bouncing back next week in Colorado.

Dillon Gee allowed one run over 6 1/3 innings in a tough-luck loss to the Padres on Thursday. Gee struck out four and walked three. He gave up just three hits on the afternoon, but a fourth inning double by Jedd Gyorko was enough to put him on the losing side in this one. The 26-year-old right-hander showed some nice progress with his secondary numbers last season prior to having surgery to address a blood clot in his shoulder, but he's back to full health and could be poised to take another step forward in 2013.

Despite walking three hitters in his four innings against the Tigers on Friday, Dillon Gee (shoulder) said that he felt good about his outing. Gee indicated that while the results weren't what he wanted, he feels like things are clicking and that he's very close to being ready. He believes that he's fully recovered from surgery to repair a damaged artery in his throwing shoulder and should be ready for Opening Day. He makes for an interesting late round target in deeper mixed leagues.

Dillon Gee was credited with the win after allowing one run in two innings and striking out three as the Mets beat the University of Michigan 5-2 on Sunday. Gee has recovered from surgery to repair a damaged artery in his shoulder and is set to return to the Mets rotation. He doesn't blow anyone away with velocity, but his varied arsenal has served him well so far and he should remain a modest contributor in NL-only leagues.

Dillon Gee (shoulder) believes his blood clot issues are mostly behind him. Gee still gets numbness in his fingers in cold weather, but he was mostly given a clean bill of health when he visited his doctor last week in St. Louis. "I had a couple of more tests and they said I'm good to go," said Gee. "Everything was normal." Gee expects no recurrence of the issue going forward and has a nitroglycerine cream to apply to his fingers just in case. The 26-year-old right-hander had a a 4.10 ERA and 97/29 K/BB ratio over 109 2/3 innings last season and is expected to open the season in the Mets' rotation.

Dillon Gee's off-season throwing program is progressing nicely as he rehabilitates from surgery to repair an artery in his pitching shoulder. After the procedure, Gee now feels much looser when he does through, and his recovery time in between starts should be much quicker with the increased blood flow to his shoulder. He's on track to enter spring training on the same routine as the rest of the rotation.

Dillon Gee (shoulder) expects to be on a normal schedule at the start of spring training. Gee's season ended prematurely in mid-July after he underwent a procedure to repair an artery in his pitching shoulder. But, he's set to begin his offseason throwing program at the end of the month and expects to be on the same routine as other starters in spring training. The 26-year-old should be part of the Mets' rotation in 2013.
