Wednesday marked the third time Santana has recorded four or more hits in a game this season. The 23-year-old rookie is hitting a robust .347/.407/.510 with three doubles, a triple, a home run, five RBI, four steals and 11 runs scored in August thus far.

Danny Santana went 2-for-5 with a double and scored both Twins runs in a win over the Royals on Tuesday.
All Santana does is find ways to contribute offensively, and he did it again Tuesday. The 23-year-old reached on a bunt single in the third inning and scored the game's first run, and he doubled and scored in the fifth. Santana has 26 runs scored in 47 games this season, and he's scored seven in his last seven games as he rounds into form following a DL stint for a knee bone bruise. He's batting a healthy .320/.352/.465 on the year.

Danny Santana tripled and drove in two runs in Sunday's win over the White Sox.
Batting leadoff for the third straight game, Santana delivered an RBI triple in the third inning and added a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The triple was Santana's second of the season. The 23-year-old is hitting .315/.348/.458 and, now healthy, should be a nice player in mixed leagues from here on out.

Danny Santana ended Hector Noesi's shutout bid with a two-run home run, his only hit in three at-bats as the Twins fell to the White Sox on Thursday.
Santana took Noesi deep to right field to put his team on the board in the eighth, but it was too little, too late at that point. The 23-year-old has hit safely in five of six games since returning from the All-Star break -- and the disabled list -- on July 18. He owns a .325/.361/.465 slash line with three home runs, 18 RBI, and six stolen bases in 167 plate appearances this season.

Twins activated INF/OF Danny Santana from the 15-day disabled list.
Santana got through three rehab games with High-A Fort Myers and had no issues with his knee, clearing the way for his return. The 23-year-old was batting .328/.366/.448 batting line with two homers, 16 RBI and six steals over 37 games before going on the disabled list. That kind of production won't continue, but fantasy owners should feel free to go ahead and stick him back into their lineups.

Danny Santana (knee) will begin a rehab assignment at High-A Fort Myers this weekend.
It's good news for the Twins as they head into the All-Star break. Assuming all goes well during the rehab assignment, Santana seems likely to be ready for activation at the beginning of the second half. Santana was batting .328/.366/.448 batting line with two homers, 16 RBI and six steals over 37 games before suffering a left knee bone bruise.

Danny Santana (knee) won't return to the Twins before the All-Star break.
There had been some thought that Santana could be back when first eligible on Friday, but the team confirmed he'll need a rehab stint before returning. With so few days left before the break, he'll be able to take his time in coming back. Santana should head out on an assignment over the break before being activated sometime next week.

Danny Santana (knee) doesn't appear likely to come off the disabled list when first eligible on Friday, as he is still limited to light swings and jogging in an underwater treadmill.
As he has yet to resume baseball activities, it's likely that he's more than a week away from rejoining the Twins. They may decide to play things safe and hold him out until after the All-Star break.

Danny Santana (knee) has been jogging in an underwater treadmill and taking swings off a tee.
Santana was placed on the disabled list last week with a left knee bone bruise, but he's already feeling much better. The youngster should have a shot to return when first eligible in early July.

Twins placed INF/OF Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 26, with a left knee bone bruise.
An MRI cleared Santana of any structural damage, but the bone bruise is evidently bad enough that he needs at least a couple weeks of downtime. He should be ready to go early next month. Yohan Pino has been recalled to replace Santana on the roster.
