Danny Santana left Wednesday's game with left knee soreness. On first blush he appeared to injure his hamstring running to second base on a double, so knee soreness may be a small victory in that regard. We'll see how serious the injury might be after the game. For now, consider him day-to-day.

Danny Santana left Wednesday's game against the Angels with a possible hamstring injury. Santana was cruising into second base with a double when he pulled up lame, and after an examination from manager Ron Gardenhire and trainer Dave Pruemer he slowly walked off the field. He was replaced by Pedro Florimon. The Twins should update Santana's status shortly.

Danny Santana went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday. Santana led off the sixth inning with a double and scored on a Joe Mauer double. The stolen base was his sixth of the year. The 23-year-old is hitting an impressive .346/.386/.458 through 107 at-bats.

Danny Santana went 2-for-5 and hit his second homer Monday versus the Blue Jays. With Kendrys Morales making his first start at DH, Santana went back out to center field tonight. His defense out there remains rough, but his bat has been terrific as of late and Aaron Hicks was nursing a sore shoulder anyway. The Twins will have to keep finding somewhere for Santana to play while he's hot. It'll probably be center for the most part.

DHing again, Danny Santana went 4-for-5 with a double and drove in five runs as the Twins' leadoff man Saturday in an 8-0 win over the Astros. Santana entered with five RBI total in 62 at-bats this season. With today's performance, he became the first leadoff man since Chris Young in 2006 and just the 17th since 1914 to have no runs scored and five RBI in a game. The Twins haven't been thrilled with Santana's defense in the outfield, hence the DH assignment. However, they'll have to find some position for him to play regularly if he's still hitting once Kendrys Morales joins the club. It could be center over Aaron Hicks or shortstop over Eduardo Escobar.

Danny Santana hit his first major league home run Friday against the Astros. It was a two-run shot off Tony Sipp in the seventh inning. Santana has impressed since coming up from the minors a month ago, batting .339/.379/.452 over 20 games. He's hitting leadoff for the Twins these days and has some speed, so those in deeper fantasy leagues should have him on their radar by now.
