Santana is starting at first base and will bat seventh Wednesday against the Pirates, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Santana was rested Tuesday as Logan Forsythe started at first base. He did enter the game late as a pinch hitter and stole his sixth bag of the season in a 5-4 loss. With Ronald Guzman (hamstring) expected back Thursday, manager Chris Woodward has to figure out how he'll keep Santana's hot bat in the lineup.

Rangers manager Chris Woodward expressed interest in seeing Santana play center field, Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers anticipate first baseman Ronald Guzman (hamstring) returning Thursday of this week, so Woodward needs to find a way to keep the hot-hitting Santana's bat in the lineup. Center field, where Delino DeShields is batting just .190, is the most obvious spot for Santana, who has filled in at both second and first base. The 28-year-old Santana is slashing .329/.360/.571 over 75 at-bats for the Rangers.

Santana will start at first base and bat seventh Sunday against the Blue Jays, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Santana started 10 consecutive games at second base between April 15 and 25 before losing out on the everyday role at the position when Rougned Odor was reinstated from the injured list. The utility man has since been able to stick in the lineup at first base, where he'll garner his sixth start in eight games. Ronald Guzman (hamstring) should be back from the injured list within the next few days to press Santana for duties at first base, but the latter should find a way to stick in the lineup if he continues to hit well. Since his promotion from Triple-A Nashville, Santana has slashed .333/.366/.576 with three home runs and five steals.

Santana went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, RBI-double and walk in a 7-5 loss to the Pirates on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It's still a small sample size, but Santana has done nothing but hit since joining the Rangers about midway through April. He's batting .355 overall, including .419 (13-for-31) with two home runs in the last eight games. Santana should see regular playing time as long as he continues to hit like this. He also has nine extra-base hits, including three homers, 11 RBI, 14 runs and five stolen bases in 62 at-bats this season.

Santana went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, one RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 14-1 win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Since his season debut on April 14, Santana has been absolutely blazing. He's stolen five bases, collected seven extra-base hits and owns a .912 OPS in 61 plate appearances. With the way he's hitting, the Rangers will have to find a spot for him in the lineup even when fully healthy.

Santana started at first base and went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
With second baseman Rougned Odor coming off the injured list Friday, manager Chris Woodward wanted to keep Santana's hot bat in the lineup, so he was move to first base for the first time during his career. Ronald Guzman (hamstring) remains on the IL, so Santana could continue to get at-bats until Guzman is ready to return. Friday's 0-fer was just the second time in 12 appearances that Santana has not reached base safely.

Santana went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 11-5 loss to the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old utility player is now slashing .333/.351/.611 with two homers, seven runs, seven RBI and four steals in nine games since joining the Rangers. Rougned Odor (knee) could be back in action by the weekend, but Santana has done more than enough to stick on the roster once Odor comes off the IL.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The switch hitter continues to make a good impression on Texas, slashing .278/.278/.611 in five games since his addition to the roster, although Friday's homer was his first. Even after Rougned Odor (knee) gets healthy and reclaims the starting second base job, Santana could well stick around in a utility role.

Santana had a second straight pre-game workout at first base Tuesday, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Santana has filled in at second base for the injured Rougned Odor (knee) and had three hits and three runs in first six at-bats before going 0-for-4 on Tuesday. Despite not having played first base as a professional, his promising work while filling in at second base has the Rangers thinking about keeping in around when Odor returns.

Santana went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Monday's 12-7 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Hitting second and playing second base, the 28-year-old supplied some instant offense for the Rangers. Santana figures to get consistent playing time while Rougned Odor (knee) is sidelined, and opportunity that could afford him some surprising fantasy value if he keeps seeing green lights on the bases.
