Santana went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 4-1 win over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Santana drove in Joey Gallo with an RBI single in the fourth inning to knot the game at 1-1. It was his first multi-hit performance since June 20 and raised his slash line to .300/.333/.514 this season.

Santana started at second base in place of the injured Rougned Odor on Saturday and went 1-for-3 in a 5-2 loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Santana entered the starting lineup for Odor, who left Friday's game with a hamstring cramp that the Rangers don't regard as serious. His sixth-inning single -- a floating popup with an exit velocity of 66.8 mph -- broke up left-hander Brendan McKay's bid for a perfect game. Santana has hit safely in 10 of the last 11 games in which he's had an at-bat, so manager Chris Woodward may want his hot bat in the lineup again Sunday, either at second to give Odor one more off day or in the outfield.

Santana is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Santana started the last two games but will head to the bench for Friday's series finale. Manager Chris Woodward indicated Thursday he would make a concerted effort to find Santana more playing time, but his value as a utility player makes him unlikely to slide into a true everyday role.

Santana will start at first base and bat second Thursday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
After Santana slugged his fifth home run in seven games in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Tigers, manager Chris Woodward said he would make a concerted effort to find the utility man more playing time, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. Woodward looks poised to achieve that by deploying Santana primarily between first and second base since the everyday options at those positions (Ronald Guzman and Rougned Odor, respectively) have languished for much of the season. Guzman will thus retreat to the bench for the series finale while Santana aims to continue his hot run at the dish.

Santana went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Santana smacked a solo home run in the fifth inning for his ninth homer of the season. He's swung a very hot bat of late, with the long ball marking his fifth in the past seven games. The return of Joey Gallo has taken away one potential avenue of playing time for Santana, but the suspension of Asdrubal Cabrera has given him a path to short-term at-bats. However, with Cabrera returning to begin the team's weekend series against Tampa Bay, it remains to be seen how the Rangers will decide to divide at-bats going forward.

Santana is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Santana doesn't have a direct line on an everyday role, but his defensive versatility and hot hitting allowed him to stick in the lineup for six of the previous seven contests. With Joey Gallo (oblique) still on the injured list and Rougned Odor and Ronald Guzman both offering limited impact at the dish as the everyday options at second and first base, respectively, Santana should continue to be at least a semi-regular presence in the Texas lineup for the time being.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs and stolen base in a 4-2 victory against the Indians on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a box-score filling afternoon for Santana, who is on a six-game hitting streak. During four of those contests, he has multiple hits, which has helped raise his average 17 points. He also has three homers and two steals since June 15. Santana is batting .312 with seven home runs, 21 RBI, 35 runs and nine stolen bases in 173 at-bats this season.

Santana went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 7-2 win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Santana delivered a two-run knock in the fourth inning, then stole a base in the sixth, putting himself in position to score on a wild pitch. He started in right field -- just his second start there this season -- after Hunter Pence (hamstring) was placed on the injured list and with Nomar Mazara (hamstring) unavailable. Mazara could be back Tuesday, per T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com, but only as a designated hitter. That means Santana, who is 6-for-12 over his last three games, could be back in the lineup Tuesday.

Santana will start at shortstop and bat sixth Sunday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Though Santana finds himself in the starting nine for a second straight day, the Rangers appear to view him as more of a utility player than a lineup mainstay. He'll merely be filling in Sunday for Elvis Andrus, who is getting a well-deserved breather following 22 consecutive starts. Playing time may be even more difficult to come by for Santana once Joey Gallo (oblique) is back from the injured list later this month.

Santana went 4-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 4-3 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers trailed after eight innings when Santana ignited a ninth-inning rally to overcome the deficit, then he scored the game-deciding run after doubling in the 11th. There are at-bats available with Joey Gallo (oblique) on the shelf, and Santana is one of the beneficiaries. He's started the last five games while hitting .400 (8-for-20) with four extra-base hits, three RBI and three runs scored.
