Royals recalled LHP Danny Duffy from Triple-A Omaha. Duffy will make the start Wednesday against the Twins. The 24-year-old made a spot start with the Royals last month and owns a 4.04 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 87/30 K/BB ratio in 69 innings this year in the minors. He could have some value in AL-only fantasy leagues the rest of the way.

Danny Duffy will be called up to start for the Royals on Wednesday evening against the Twins. He's taking over for Wade Davis, who was officially demoted to long-relief duty on Tuesday evening. Duffy has posted a 4.04 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 87/30 K/BB ratio in 69 innings this year in the Royals' minor league system. He's unlikely to be a reliable fantasy streamer.

Royals optioned LHP Danny Duffy to Triple-A Omaha. Duffy was the Royals' 26th man for their doubleheader on Friday, so the stay was always going to be a short one. He pitched well and could eventually be an option for a rotation spot, but for now he'll make a few starts with Omaha. He's an option for a call-up in September.

Danny Duffy, who was called up before the game, allowed just one hit over six innings to pick up the victory as the Royals edged the Tigers 2-1 in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. Duffy gave the Royals a nice lift today, but with Wade Davis pitching better of late, it doesn't appear that the left-hander will get a rotation spot of his own. Maybe in September, depending on how Davis holds up.

Royals optioned LHP Danny Duffy to Triple-A Omaha. Duffy heads back to the minors after giving two runs on six hits over 3 2/3 innings in a spot start against the Twins on Wednesday. The 24-year-old has made solid progress following Tommy John surgery last season and could be a nice sleeper pick in fantasy leagues in 2014.

Danny Duffy allowed two runs on six hits in 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Twins on Wednesday. It was an odd start for Duffy. He wasn't terrible, limiting the Twins to just two runs, but he was inefficient -- he gave up six hits and two walks while striking out seven. It was his first start with the Royals since Tommy John surgery last year, and with Wade Davis' status up in the air it may be his last start of the year, too.

Royals recalled LHP Danny Duffy from Triple-A Omaha. Duffy will make the start Wednesday night against the Twins in place of Wade Davis. It will be his first start in the majors since Tommy John surgery last year. The 24-year-old had a 4.14 ERA and 77/27 K/BB ratio in 63 innings over 12 starts and two relief appearances in the minors. It's unclear how long he'll stick in the rotation, but he's worth starting in AL-only leagues for now.

Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star hears that the Royals are calling up left-hander Danny Duffy. Duffy is expected to start Wednesday against the Twins in place of Wade Davis, who was placed on the family medical emergency list over the weekend. In his first season back from Tommy John surgery, Duffy has a 4.14 ERA and 77/27 K/BB ratio in 63 innings over 12 starts and two relief appearances between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. He could be worth a look as a streaming option in AL-only fantasy leagues.

Danny Duffy allowed four runs on six hits over 5 1/3 innings in his start Friday with Triple-A Omaha. It was Duffy's second Triple-A start since being activated from the the 60-day DL. He threw 83 pitches, didn't give up any walks and finished with four strikeouts. Duffy will continue his recovery from Tommy John surgery in the minors but should be an option for the Royals' rotation at some point this season.

Danny Duffy tossed five scoreless innings Tuesday with Triple-A Omaha. Duffy, who was activated from the disabled list and optioned to the minors earlier in the day, allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out four. The 24-year-old left-hander is still building strength following Tommy John surgery, but he could be an option to join the Royals' rotation shortly after the All-Star break.
