Allen (2-6) blew his fourth save of the year Friday, allowing an inherited runner to score in the eighth inning, but was credited with the win in a 3-2 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
His final line in the box score -- one shutout inning, four hits, one strikeout -- looks odd, as his struggles continued into the bottom of the ninth, but Allen got bailed out by Joe Smith after loading the bases with two outs. The outing technically extended his scoreless streak to 10 innings, during which he has a 14:2 K:BB, so there's little reason for concern with the 28-year-old closer.

Allen retired all four batters he faced while striking out three en route to his 22nd save in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
After being called upon with the bases empty and two outs in the eighth, Allen was easily able to lock down a 2-1 win despite throwing only 11 of 20 pitches for strikes. This was the closer's fourth appearance since Aug. 25, so he likely won't be available if a save situation arises in Game 2.

Allen (1-6) pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his first win of the season during Monday's victory over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the eighth inning, and then the Indians walked it off in the bottom of the ninth with Allen as the pitcher of record. While this was his first win of the season, Allen has recorded 21 saves with a 3.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 12.1 K/9. The 28-year-old righty is turning in another solid fantasy campaign.

Allen allowed a walk but struck out two in a scoreless ninth frame to collect his 22nd save of the season Sunday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has now recorded two straight save opportunities without allowing a hit after blowing a pair of saves earlier in the month. The 28-year-old owns a 3.23 ERA to go along with a 65:17 K:BB through 47.1 innings this season. Now that he appears to be back on track, Allen should be considered one of the better options at closer for the remainder of the season.

Allen pitched a perfect inning while striking out two to notch his 20th save Saturday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Allen was provided a three-run lead, and had little trouble shutting the door on the Rays. Although he had a rough start to the month after blowing a pair of saves and allowing four runs in two contests, he appeared to have turned things around with his strong outing, and he'll most likely return to being an excellent option at closer.

Allen blew his third save of the season Wednesday against the Rockies after allowing one run on two hits and a walk during the ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
The closer was tagged with just one blown save over his first 43 games this season, but Allen now has two in August alone. After closing out July with four perfect appearances, the southpaw has surrendered four runs on five hits over 2.2 innings this month. That said, Allen's job is secure for now, but a few more mishaps could open the door for Andrew Miller (knee) once the latter is activated next week.

Allen served up a walk-off three-run home run to Christian Vazquez in the bottom of the ninth inning Tuesday to blow his second save of the season in a 12-10 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
With Rafael Devers on first base and two outs, Allen seemed to have gotten the job done by striking out Mitch Moreland, but catcher Yan Gomes couldn't corral the 2-2 curveball and Moreland reached on a wild pitch, setting up Vazquez's heroics. Allen is still 19-for-21 on save opportunities this season and is coming off a July in which he posted a 2.31 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB in 11.2 innings, so expect him to shake this stumble off quickly.

Allen pitched a scoreless ninth inning to collect his 19th save of the season during Saturday's win over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Allen has converted 19 of 20 save opportunities this season, and with a 2.74 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11.8 K/9 for the campaign, his strong ratios make up for the lack of saves. Additionally, with Cleveland piling up wins in bunches, he could quickly make up for lost time in the saves column.

Allen struck out two in a clean ninth inning Thursday against the Angels to pick up his 18th save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Picking up saves has been a struggle for the closer over the past two months. Thursday's door slam was just Allen's fourth save since June -- he logged 14 in his first 21 games of the year. Despite the struggles, he remains the clear-cut closer in Cleveland as the club pushes towards the playoffs, making Allen a valuable fantasy commodity.
