Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York writes that the chances of the Yankees signing C.J. Wilson are "close to less than five percent." In fact, Wilson's agent Bob Garber recently requested a visit with the Yankees, but was turned down. The free agent left-hander is expected to get a big-money contract this winter as the best pitcher on the market, but it doesn't appear as though it will come from the Bombers.

According to Jon Heyman of SI.com, free agent left-hander C.J. Wilson asked the Angels for a $100 million contract. It's not clear if the Angels balked at Wilson's asking price, but most expect the bidding will fall somewhere in the $100 million range. The 30-year-old southpaw visited the Marlins' new ballpark on Monday and could sign somewhere during the Winter Meetings next week in Dallas.

The Marlins hosted free agent left-hander C.J. Wilson at their new ballpark Monday. "They rolled out the red carpet. They seem to have a plan and made it very clear they'd like CJ to be a part of it,' said Wilson's agent, Bob Garber. "I think he really impressed everybody today with his charisma. I think he'd be a great fit in South Florida." Garber wouldn't say whether the Marlins submitted an offer, but said his client will "probably" make a decision during the Winter Meetings next week in Dallas. The 30-year-old southpaw is reportedly seeking a six-year deal worth more than $100 million.

According to ESPN's Andrew Marchand, there is "almost no way" the Yankees sign C.J. Wilson this offseason. That could change as Wilson's asking price fluctuates, but for now the Bombers aren't all that interested. Wilson, 30, posted a stellar 2.94 ERA and 206/74 K/BB ratio over 223 1/3 innings this past year for Texas, but he's said to be seeking a six-year free agent deal worth more than $100 million. And the Yankees already have five rotation options on their current roster. Wilson is set to meet with the Marlins on Monday.

According to Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Marlins will host C.J. Wilson Monday. Wilson will be given a tour of the Marlins' new stadium in Little Havana, much like fellow free agents Jose Reyes and Albert Pujols. Whether the Fish actually have the budget to sign any of the top guys on the open market remains to be seen, but they're certainly putting forth the effort. Wilson, 31, is thought to be seeking a six-year contract worth more than $100 million.

C.J. Wilson will be offered arbitration by the Rangers. An easy call. Wilson, a Type A free agent, is the best starting pitcher available this winter and would net the Rangers two draft picks if he declines and signs elsewhere. The 31-year-old southpaw is reportedly looking for a six-year contract worth more than $100 million and has already drawn interest from at least a dozen teams.

C.J. Wilson is expected to meet with Marlins officials in Miami soon after Thanksgiving. There are at least 13 teams interested in Wilson at this time and the bidding could easily rise above the Marlins' price range. But they have legitimate preliminary interest and will likely make an offer when the free agent left-hander visits, just as they did with free agent shortstop Jose Reyes and free agent first baseman Albert Pujols. Wilson, 30, posted a stellar 2.94 ERA and 206/74 K/BB ratio in 223 1/3 innings this past year for Texas. He's thought to be seeking a deal worth north of $100 million.

According to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times, Angels manager Mike Scioscia and general manager Jerry Dipoto is scheduled to dine with free agent left-hander C.J. Wilson on Monday night in Los Angeles. As expected. It's not known if Angels manager Arte Moreno will be present at the dinner, but DiGiovanna writes that he has established a relationship with the southpaw from bargaining sessions for baseball's new labor agreement. The Angels haven't been shy about their interest thus far, as Dipoto had dinner with Wilson's agent, Bob Garber, last week at the general managers' meetings in Milwaukee. Wilson is scheduled to visit with another GM in Los Angeles this weekend and two or three teams on the East Coast next week. Don't expect a quick decision.

SI.com's Jon Heyman reports that C.J. Wilson is looking for a six-year, $120 million contract. It doesn't seem likely that he'll find it, but that's not a bad place for his agent to start. Wilson has drawn interest from enough teams that he should be able to land a contract of five years or more, but asking for $20 million annually is probably a reach. The Marlins, Red Sox, Yankees and Angels are said to have serious interest, and the Rangers will also attempt to re-sign the lefty.
