C.J. Wilson racked up eight strikeouts on Sunday, but fell to the Mariners after allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk in his eight innings of work.
Wilson surrendered an RBI double to Mike Zunino in the second inning, then kept the M's at bay until Jusin Smoak smashed a two-run bomb in the sixth inning. It's been another very solid season for the veteran southpaw, as he owns a 17-7 record, 3.36 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 181/81 K/BB ratio in his 206 innings of work. He'll wrap up his 2013 campaign when he takes the ball against his former team in Texas next weekend.
