Wednesday's game between the Pirates and Orioles has been postponed due to rain. It's the second straight rainout for the two clubs. The teams will try to make up both games as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, assuming the weather cooperates. Scheduled starters Charlie Morton and Chris Tillman will be pushed back again.

Chris Tillman won Wednesday despite giving up seven runs in 5 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays. It was never in doubt, right? Almost all of the damage came in the second, when Tillman gave up homers to Brett Lawrie and Jose Reyes. He barely escaped the inning, but once he did, he was fine for the next three. Tillman became the second pitcher this year to give up seven runs and win, joining Cliff Lee, who allowed eight and won on Opening Day. The last Orioles pitcher to give up seven runs and win was none other than Koji Uehara on April 13, 2009.

Chris Tillman yielded three runs over five innings in a win over the Red Sox on Friday. Tillman needed 122 pitches to make it through his five innings of work. He wasn't at his best, giving up seven hits and four walks, but he managed to avoid any serious damage and his teammates gave him plenty of run support. Tillman is now 2-1 with a 20/7 K/BB ratio in 26 1/3 innings over four starts. He should remain a useful starter in mixed leagues this season, but his penchant for the fly ball should send his ERA north before long.

Chris Tillman allowed two unearned runs over eight innings in a tough-luck loss to the Blue Jays on Friday. Tillman deserved a lot better. He gave up just three singles and a walk while striking out six batters. While he retired 13 out of the 14 final batters he faced, his offense just couldn't get anything going against Toronto's pitching. Tillman owns a 0.84 ERA through three starts and will hope for better luck against the Rays next week.

Chris Tillman tossed 8 1/3 innings of one-run ball Sunday in the Orioles' defeat of the Tigers. Tillman was fantastic, scattering five hits and a walk while racking up five strikeouts. The one run he allowed was on a Torii Hunter solo shot in the bottom of the fourth inning. Tillman is now 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA through two starts this season and will try to keep it rolling next time out against the Blue Jays.

Chris Tillman pitched five innings of one-run ball Monday in a no-decision against the Red Sox. Tillman gave up a homer to Grady Sizemore and a couple of more that might have left the year on a muggy summer day instead of a mild spring day. In all, he allowed seven hits, but the bend-but-not-break act worked well enough today.

Chris Tillman gave up two runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings in his final Grapefruit League start Wednesday. Tillman also walked a batter and struck out one as well. It leaves the right-hander's spring ERA at 4.67. The Orioles' Opening Day starter earned the nod not on the merits of his mediocre spring but on a 2013 season in which he went 16-7 with a 3.71 ERA. The win total was a bit fluky, but Tillman should once again post a sub-4.00 ERA this season.

Chris Tillman (flu) returned to Baltimore's clubhouse Sunday and told the media that he's back on schedule. Tillman had a 24-hour flu that actually stole two days from him. He believes he'll pitch in a game in the coming days to prepare for his Opening Day assignment. Tillman earned the honor by going 16-7 with a 3.71 ERA over 33 starts last season.

Chris Tillman was scratched from Friday's start due to illness. Miguel Gonzalez will move up from a minor league start to take the ball in a Grapefruit League outing instead. Tillman should be fine in a day or two, and this will not affect his Opening Day start.
