Tillman earned his 12th win by holding the Red Sox to one run on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks in five innings Tuesday. Earlier in the day, Tillman was confirmed as Sunday's starter, giving him two starts during fantasy playoffs in many formats. Tillman needed 108 pitches just to get as far as he made it Tuesday, but he continues to pitch well down the stretch.

Tillman has been announced as the starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Yankees, CSN's Rich Dubroff reports. The Orioles were considering giving Tillman an extra day of rest with an off day and a doubleheader coming up later this week, but he will instead make his next start on normal rest and provide those in weekly leagues with two starts this week.

Tillman made a quality start against Cincinnati on Thursday, allowing three runs over six innings. He scattered five hits and struck out six batters, but did not factor in the decision. Tillman was in line for the win, but his bullpen betrayed him, surrendering four runs late in the game. He has performed well over the last couple of months, not surrendering more than three earned runs in any of his last 13 starts, while recording a 2.47 ERA during that stretch (83.2 innings). His strikeout rate of 6.22 K/9 is below average, but he's minimizing walks and keeping the ball in the park. If you're in need of help in the wins category, and he's still available in your league, he's certainly worth a pickup. The Orioles have a day off next week, so he'll make just one start, toeing the rubber at Boston.

Tillman held the Twins to one run on six hits with three walks and six strikeouts, but did not figure in the decision Saturday. Tillman needed 100 pitches to make it through five innings and was pulled after reaching that plateau. The Orioles have won his last seven starts and Tillman has allowed two runs or less in each of those starts.

Tillman won Monday against the Rays as he pitched seven innings and allowed one unearned run, three hits and two walks to go along with two strikeouts. Tillman has been excellent of late as he has allowed two runs or less in each of his last five games, lowering his ERA from 3.97 to 3.41. He is now 11-5 this season and continues to be a key member of the Orioles rotation.

Tillman (10-5) was on point in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the White Sox, matching a career-high with nine strikeouts while limiting the opponents to one run on three hits. Aside from serving up a solo homer to Jose Abreu, Tillman otherwise put the clamps on the White Sox, something that's become the norm for the right-hander of late. He's covered at least six innings and allowed fewer than two runs over his last four turns, gathering three wins in the process.

Tillman battled through less than great stuff Wednesday night to hold the Yankees to two runs on five hits over seven innings. "You know what? It wasn't very good for me tonight," Tillman said. "I knew coming in from the get-go it was going to be a grind. Hats off to Nicky [Hundley] for hanging in there with me. It was a battle throughout, but fortunately made some pitches. Had some stuff. I was able to get ahead and pitch off that." Tillman only struck out three, but didn't walk anyone. He's walked just two batters in his last four starts, after beginning the season having a hard time finding the strike zone.

Tillman tossed 6.2 innings Friday night, giving up two earned runs on just four hits and one walk while striking out seven in a 12-2 win over the Cardinals. Enjoying 12 runs of support from the Orioles' offense, Tillman was in cruise control as he coasted toward his ninth victory of the season. The 26-year-old righty has put together an extended run of strong work for the AL East leaders over the past couple of months. During a now 12-start stretch dating back to June 10, he has posted an impressive 2.40 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 78.2 innings.

Tillman threw seven shutout innings Sunday to beat the Mariners 1-0. He struck out six while walking none, giving up four singles in the process.

Chris Tillman got a no-decision after allowing five runs (three earned) over five innings in Tuesday's 12-inning walk-off win against the Angels. Tillman and opposing starter Jered Weaver were nearly equally ineffective, a strange mix that helped the game go extras. The Orioles' right-hander allowed six hits -- including a home run to Josh Hamilton -- while walking one and striking out six. Tillman now has a 3.97 ERA, a 1.35 WHIP, and an 89/52 K/BB ratio, which he'll try to improve when he takes on the Mariners in a homestand finale on Sunday.
