Tillman and the Orioles avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.315 million deal Friday, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
Although he has a history of allowing too many home runs, Tillman showed significant progress on that front toward the end of the 2014 season, allowing just 0.7 home runs per nine innings in his final 21 starts. That number helped push his ERA down to 2.38 over that same span. If he can maintain that momentum heading into 2015, a season where he figures to serve as Baltimore's top man in the rotation, he could have his best fantasy season yet.

Tillman is penciled in to start Game 5 of the ALCS on Thursday, Rich Dubroff of CSNBaltimore.com reports.
The Orioles need to earn a win Wednesday afternoon to keep their season alive, but if they do manage to extend the series and Tillman isn't needed in relief, then he'll go Thursday. Tillman was knocked around to the tune of five earned runs over just 4.1 innings in Game 1, and has given up three homers in 9.1 innings this postseason.

Tillman could start Game 4 of the ALCS on Wednesday, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Dubroff reports.
With Monday's game getting postponed due to weather, Game 4 will be pushed back to Wednesday, which would allow Tillman to pitch on regular rest. If he does not get the ball, look for Miguel Gonzalez to pitch as was originally expected prior to Monday's postponement.

Tillman will start Game 1 of the ALCS against the Royals on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
Tillman gave up a pair of homers in Game 1 of the ALDS, but the Orioles' bats provided more than enough offense to power him to a victory over Detroit. The 26-year-old's lone shutout during the regular season came against Kansas City back on May 16.

Tillman held the Tigers to two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and one walk in five innings to earn the win in Game One of the ALDS Thursday.
Tillman only blemishes were back-to-back solo home runs to Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez in the second inning. The Orioles blew the game open late, but Tillman pitched in crucial innings the entire time he was in. Tillman should be in line to start Game Four, if necessary, next Wednesday.
