Paddack received an injection in his right elbow earlier this week and is expected to make a full recovery from a slight UCL sprain in 6-to-8 weeks, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack had his elbow checked out by Dr. Keith Meister, who previously oversaw the right-hander's Tommy John surgery in 2016. Fortunately for Paddack, he was recommended to treat the elbow injury through non-surgical means this time around, setting him up for what should be a relatively normal offseason. Before being shut down for good Sept. 13, Paddack turned in a 5.08 ERA across 108.1 innings.

Paddack (elbow) has been ruled out from returning to pitch this season, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack has recently been throwing, but he isn't going to see the mound in a big-league game for the remainder of the campaign. It's unclear if he has suffered a setback, as the Padres' recent elimination from the postseason offers a logical reason to hold the right-hander out of action even if he's physically able to make a late-season appearance. Paddack finishes the campaign with a disappointing 5.07 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 99:22 K:BB across 108.1 innings.

Paddack (elbow) played catch from 75 feet Saturday, but multiple sources familiar with his health situation don't expect him to pitch again in the regular season, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heading into Sunday's action, the Padres sat 2.5 games behind the Cardinals for the National League's second wild-card spot, and San Diego's shrinking playoff odds increases the likelihood that neither Paddack nor Blake Snell (groin) will be rushed back from their respective injuries. Given that he's at least throwing again, Paddack would seemingly have a better chance of the two to make it back from the injured list, but he presumably won't have sufficient time to build up for a traditional starting role. In a best-case scenario, the Padres believe Paddack could pitch at some point during next weekend's series with Atlanta, but he would face a workload restriction in any start or bulk-relief role.

Paddack was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to right elbow inflammation.
EDGE Analysis
According to Dennis Lin of The Athletic, Paddack's arm felt tight Saturday following his start, and the Padres were unsure as to whether he could make his next start. This move is retroactive to Sunday, meaning he'll be available to come off the injured list beginning Sept. 22. Shaun Anderson was recalled in a corresponding move.

Paddack (7-7) took the loss in Saturday's 5-4 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack was excellent in limiting traffic on the bases Sunday, but most of the runners who did make it on ended up scoring. The big blow came in the fifth when Paddack was removed with two on and two out in a 2-2 game. Reliever Craig Stammen served up a three-run home run to Mookie Betts that ended up being the difference in the game. The poor outing comes after two solid performances, and he currently is slated to face San Francisco on Thursday.

Paddack allowed three earned runs on six hits while striking out two across six innings in the win over the Astros on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack allowed a run in the first inning before firing five shutout innings. However, he allowed back-to-back home runs by Yuli Gurriel and Carlos Correa before being pulled in the seventh inning. The 25-year-old has a 2.97 ERA in 21.2 innings over his last four starts dating back to July 21. For the season, he has a 4.95 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP with 95 strikeouts in 103.2 innings.

Paddack allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out five across 4.2 innings in the win over the Diamondbacks on Monday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first start since late July due to an oblique issue, Paddack fired four scoreless innings before allowing back-to-back singles with two outs in the fifth frame. He was relieved by Craig Stammen, and a wild pitch led to Paddack's lone run allowed. He is 3-0 with a 3.57 ERA over his last five starts. The 25-year-old has a 4.98 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 95 punchouts in 97.2 innings this season.

Paddack (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list before Monday's start against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
A left oblique strain had kept Paddack on the shelf since late July, but he's back to face the Diamondbacks, who have shelled him for eight earned runs in 7.2 innings this season. Having not gone on a rehab assignment, the righty will likely be working with a pitch limit Monday, though it's unclear what that number is.

Manager Jayce Tingler said Paddack (oblique) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday to start the Padres' series opener in Arizona, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack received the green light to make his first start since July 27 after his strained left oblique checked out fine following his bullpen session Saturday. Because Paddack didn't head out on a rehab assignment during his time on the IL, he'll likely be eased back into the San Diego rotation Monday with a more limited pitch count than usual.

Paddack (oblique) will throw a bullpen session Saturday and will likely start Monday or Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack threw a bullpen session early in the week, and he tossed a bullpen in full uniform ahead of Saturday's series finale against the Angels. The Padres haven't yet made an official announcement regarding the right-hander's status, but he'll likely be cleared to return early next week after he missed just over a month due to a left oblique strain.
