Paddack (oblique) threw 25 pitches in an "intensive" bullpen session Friday, per MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pitched off the front slope of the mound Wednesday, then progressed to a full bullpen Friday. He included all of his pitch offerings during the session and is slated for another bullpen or a simulated game Sunday. Should that go well, Paddack could return during the Padres' next road trip, which begins Friday against the Angels.

Paddack (oblique) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack has been on the injured list since July 31 due to an oblique strain, but he's been throwing off flat ground recently. Wednesday's throwing session marks the first time the right-hander has thrown off a mound since he sustained his injury, and a better idea of his status should be revealed based on how he feels after his bullpen.

Manager Jayce Tingler said Paddack (oblique) could throw off a mound soon, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack has been throwing off flat ground for nearly two weeks, and he's nearly ready to resume mound work. The 25-year-old is eligible to be activated off the injured list but remains without a timeline for his return. The right-hander may also require a rehab assignment before rejoining San Diego's starting rotation.

Paddack (oblique) threw on the field Friday but remains without a timeline for a return, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander is technically eligible to come off the injured list, but he has yet to throw off a mound and doesn't appear close to a return. However, Paddack said Friday that he's headed in the right direction in his recovery. "It feels good," Paddack said of his oblique. "I'm not 100 percent throwing yet, but I'm gradually getting back."

Paddack was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The move was made retroactive to Wednesday, so Paddack will be eligible to return as soon as next Friday, though whether or not he's expected to be healthy by then remains to be seen. Paddack's spot in the rotation is due up Sunday against the Rockies. It's possible Reiss Knehr, who was recalled in a corresponding move, will temporarily take his place in the rotation.

Paddack (7-6) won Tuesday's 7-4 game against Oakland, allowing three runs on nine hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack allowed all three of his runs on five hits in the third inning but settled down after and was never in any real danger in any of the other five frames. This was the young righty's third straight win, while his season-high 102 pitches indicate manager Jayce Tingler finally trusts Paddack to work deep into games.

Paddack (6-6) allowed three hits and struck out one in five scoreless innings, earning the win in Wednesday's 3-2, Game 1 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
The righty, who entered Wednesday's start with a 7.49 ERA and nine home runs allowed in his last nine outings, turned in arguably his strongest performance of the season, giving the Padres some much-needed length in the first game of the doubleheader. Paddack now has a 5.17 ERA and 84:19 K:BB in 87 innings through 19 games. He's expected to make his next start Tuesday against the Athletics.

Paddack (5-6) picked up the win Friday versus Washington. He allowed four runs on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings.
EDGE Analysis
All Paddack had to do Friday was complete five innings to earn the win, as the Padres supported him with a franchise-best 24 runs in the contest. While it was far from a strong outing for the right-hander, he was able to get in the win column for the first time since June 18. He's struggled to a 5.49 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 83:19 K:BB through 82 innings overall. Paddack lines up for a road start in Atlanta next week.

Paddack (4-6) took the loss against Washington on Wednesday, hurling two-plus innings and allowing nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack fell behind early in the contest, surrendering a three-run homer to Juan Soto in the first inning. Things didn't get much better for the right-hander from there, as he allowed four more runs in the second before departing in the third inning without recording an out. The disastrous outing was a fitting cap to an inconsistent first half of the campaign for Paddack, who has allowed one or zero earned runs in five of his outings but five or more four times. He'll carry a disappointing 5.40 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come in Atlanta after the All-Star break.

Paddack tossed seven innings against the Phillies on Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander bounced back from a rough previous start during which he allowed five runs in 2.1 frames against Arizona. Paddack demonstrated solid control against Philadelphia, throwing 67 of 95 pitches for strikes. Perhaps most impressively, he absorbed a rough first inning in which the Phillies tallied two runs and held them to only one more tally the rest of the way. Paddack has had an up-and-down campaign, compiling a 4-5 record along with a 4.56 ERA. He's pitching well enough to remain in San Diego's rotation but has been a middling fantasy asset. He's tentatively lined up to make his next start against Washington on Wednesday.
