Chase Headley extended his hitting streak to 11 games Monday, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a win over the Marlins. Headley got off to a bit of a slow start after returning from the disabled list, but he's been red-hot of late, batting .381 with two longballs and seven RBI during his hitting streak. He'll continue to be a nice fantasy option at the hot corner.

Padres executive chairman Ron Fowler said Wednesday that he and his front office brethren were preparing "the largest offer" in club history for Headley with plans to officially propose it to the third baseman "before midseason." But Headley, who is currently under organizational control through 2014, wants no part. "We made it abundantly clear [before] that we didn't want to talk about it during the season," the 28-year-old told Brock on Thursday morning.
