Blackmon went 1-for-9 with an RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Dodgers. Blackmon has been piling up the counting stats (seven homers, 10 stolen bases) at a decent clip this season, but his .247 batting average has been a bit of a disappointment. The outfielder has made up for the dip in that department by upping his walk rate to a career-best 7.3 percent thus far, so it wouldn't appear that he's in jeopardy of surrendering the leadoff role.

Blackmon is out of the lineup Friday against the Phillies. Blackmon's 2-for-13 stretch with six strikeouts at the plate over the last four games may have led to his off day Friday, but it's likely temporary. Brandon Barnes will receive the start in center field in his place, batting leadoff.

Blackmon hit a two-run homer and drew a walk in Wednesday's win over the Reds. After his peculiar 2014 campaign -- the white-hot start, then the painful fade -- Blackmon has averaged it out, posting a stat line quite similar to last season's final results. He should continue providing a reliable power-speed combo for fantasy owners, especially if he can get things going at Coors Field -- bizarrely, Blackmon's actually been a significantly better hitter on the road. He has just a .241 average and .722 OPS at home in his hitters' paradise.

Blackmon went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, two runs scored, and a trio of stolen bases in Monday's 5-4 win over the Reds. The three stolen bases were a career high for Blackmon, who became the first Rockies player to steal that many bags in a single game since Carlos Gonzalez achieved the feat on May 30, 2013 against the Astros. Through 42 games, Blackmon is on pace to finish with 23 homers and 38 stolen bases, both of which would surpass the outputs (19 homers, 28 steals) he provided in his All-Star 2014 campaign.

Updating a previous report, Blackmon will start in center field and bat leadoff Monday against the Reds, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports. Blackmon was not in the originally-posted lineup, but due to the late scratch of Carlos Gonzalez (illness), he'll be re-inserted into the leadoff spot.

Blackmon is out of the lineup Monday against the Reds. Blackmon has started seven straight contests in center field, but will give way to Brandon Barnes on Sunday, who will also bat atop the lineup. The 28-year-old Blackmon is just 18-for-76 at the dish so far in May, but a .333 season OBP should be enough to keep him in the leadoff spot moving forward.

Blackmon went a collective 3-for-10 during Saturday's doubleheader withe Giants. He hit his sixth homer of the season and scored two runs and drove in two more. The bulk of Blackmon's damage came in Game 1, but it was nonetheless a productive day on the whole for the Rockies center fielder. He's batting .270 and has produced 14 extra-base hits over 159 at-bats.

Blackmon failed to record a hit in four plate appearances during Friday's loss to the Giants, but did steal his seventh base of the season after drawing a third-inning walk. Blackmon is batting just .238 in May and has seen his power output decline in recent weeks, but he's compensated for it by going a perfect 5-for-5 on stolen-base attempts during the month. The 28-year-old once seemed at risk of falling into a center-field platoon early in the season, but with the Rockies missing Corey Dickerson (plantar fasciitis) from their lineup and the struggling Drew Stubbs heading back to the minors, it looks like Blackmon will top the order just about every night for the foreseeable future.

Blackmon was ejected from Sunday's game against the Dodgers for arguing balls and strikes during his fifth-inning at-bat. Home-plate umpire Marty Foster gave Blackmon the quick heave-ho after the outfielder started barking following his third strikeout in as many at-bats. He was replaced in left field by Rafael Ynoa.

Blackmon went 3-for-5 with a run and his fifth stolen base in Friday's loss to the Dodgers. All three of Blackmon's singles came off of lefty pitchers (Clayton Kershaw, Paco Rodriguez, and Adam Liberatore), a performance that should give manager Walt Weiss some additional confidence in using the outfielder atop the order when a southpaw is starting for the opposition. While the three-hit showing raised Blackmon's average to a robust .298, he's tapered off from his early-season power surge. He hasn't recorded an extra-base hit since his two-homer game May 3 in San Diego.
