Blackmon is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
With the Rockies facing left-handed Travis Wood, it'll be Drew Stubbs getting the start in center field, while Corey Dickerson will replace Blackmon in the leadoff spot. The Rockies aren't scheduled to face another southpaw until next Friday against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers.

Blackmon went 1-for-3 with a two-run double in Sunday's Cactus League victory over the Diamondbacks.
A bout with abdominal tightness delayed Blackmon's participation in Cactus League play, but he's since slotted into the lineup for eight games, batting .250 with a homer, stolen base, and three RBI. Like last season, Blackmon is slated to lead off for the Rockies in 2015, and with Corey Dickerson, Troy Tulowitzki, and Carlos Gonzalez tentatively penciled in right behind him in the lineup, run-scoring chances should be plentiful. In addition, Blackmon provides a little more punch than the typical table setter, as his 19 homers last season ranked only behind the Brewers' Carlos Gomez among leadoff hitters.

Blackmon (abdomen) will make his Cactus League debut Wednesday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Blackmon missed the early portions of spring training due to minor abdominal tightness, but it appears he will finally make his debut Wednesday. Assuming all goes well, he is slated to serve as the Rockies everyday center fielder in 2015, and should be one for the top candidates to serve as the leadoff hitter as well.

Blackmon is suffering from minor abdominal tightness, but will make his spring training debut in the next couple days, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Blackmon heads into the 2015 season slated to be the everyday center fielder for the Rockies, and the minor injury likely won't sidetrack the plan barring a setback.

Blackmon is on track to serve as the regular center fielder for the Rockies in 2015, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
Blackmon had to compete for the center field job last spring, but he'll face no such threats to the gig in 2015. Though the 28-year-old's production slowed in the second half of last season, he still finished with an impressive .288/.335/.440 line to go along with 19 homers, 28 steals, 82 runs, and 72 RBI, making him a legitimate five-category contributor. Expect Blackmon to pile up the counting stats as the leadoff hitter in a potent Rockies lineup, though his inferior numbers against lefty pitching make him somewhat susceptible to fall into a platoon with Drew Stubbs.

Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's loss to the Padres.
The first-inning blast marked Blackmon's fifth leadoff homer of the season. With 19 homers and 28 stolen bases on the campaign, Blackmon has proven to be a more-than-adequate replacement option for Dexter Fowler in center field.

Blackmon is not in Sunday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.
Drew Stubbs will get the start over Blackmon with the left-handed Wade Miley on the mound. The Rockies are currently platooning Blackmon and Stubbs, so starts with Blackmon should only come against right-handers.

Blackmon went 5-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and four runs scored in the Rockies' 16-2 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.
The blast was Blackmon's 18th of the season, and the five-hit effort pushed his line to .285/.331/.433. Not surprisingly, he continues to reap the benefits of playing half of his games at Coors Field, but it should be noted that Blackmon has hit just five of his 18 homers on the road this season while putting together a .233/.261/.329 line over 258 road at-bats.
