Bettis will look to improve those numbers in his next start Tuesday, again, versus the Yankees.

Although pitching in Coors Field is never easy, Bettis hasn't fared well on the road either, recording a 5.31 ERA away from Colorado. His next start will come Saturday in San Diego.

After throwing a mere eight pitches before the Rockies' game on Sunday was rained out, manager Walt Weiss decided to keep Jordan Lyles on schedule and have him slot in for the makeup game Monday while keeping Jorge De La Rosa (groin) on pace with his schedule as he returns from the DL. This pushes Bettis to Wednesday, where he'll face a potent Boston lineup and knuckleballer Steven Wright, who lowered his ERA to 2.52 after an eight-inning outing last time out. Bettis has been one of the Rockies' better starting pitchers this season, but this matchup with the Red Sox is not overly intriguing.
