Bettis (7-6) surrendered two earned runs on seven hits and a walk over 6.2 innings in Thursday's 11-2 victory over the Phillies. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old enjoyed a rare Coors Field quality start, inducing 13 swinging strikes along the way. Bettis has gotten July off to a strong start, after a forgettable June in which he generated a 6.84 ERA and surrendered 44 hits and 23 runs (19 earned) over 25 innings. He'll look to keep the momentum going after the All-Star break.

Bettis allowed seven runs on 12 hits and three walks across five innings in Sunday's start versus Arizona. He struck out three and did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis was hit early and often Sunday, as he was scored upon in four different innings and was chased from the game by a two-run single by Paul Goldschmidt with no outs in the sixth. He threw two consecutive quality starts prior to Sunday's letdown, but the overall numbers are not pretty for Bettis, who now owns a hefty 5.84 ERA. He will try to improve his effectiveness Saturday at the Dodgers.

Bettis (6-5) held the Yankees to four runs (two earned) on eight hits, with one walk and eight strikeouts over six innings in Tuesday's victory.
EDGE Analysis
Consecutive victories over the Yankees have pushed Bettis back up above .500 for the first time since May 30. He had no problem adjusting to the relatively hitter-friendly environment after pitching in the infamous Coors Field for three of his last four starts. Bettis will be back home against the Diamondbacks on Sunday for his next start.

Bettis (5-5) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits in a 6-3 victory over the Yankees on Wednesday. He also struck out five and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has a 3.05 K/BB ratio, and he's only walked one batter in his last 14.0 innings, but that great control hasn't helped, as he has a 6.43 ERA over his last three starts. For the season, Bettis has allowed a .296 batting average, and that's largely why he has a 5.63 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. Bettis will look to improve those numbers in his next start Tuesday, again, versus the Yankees.

Bettis could have his next scheduled start Tuesday bumped back, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis has pitched poorly of late, lasting just three innings in his most recent start while allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits. Considering his performance on the mound this season, it's quite possible the Rockies would consider removing him from the rotation at some point, but there is no evidence to suggest that's the case right now.

Bettis (4-5) lasted a season-low three innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits while striking out four against the Pirates on Thursday. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old got plenty of support from his offense to pick up a win for the first time since May 17, but Bettis couldn't capitalize on the opportunity. He's now 0-3 with an 11.57 ERA in his last four starts, and the right-hander's ERA (5.85) sits at its worst mark since his first outing of the year.

Bettis fell to 4-5 in Saturday's start versus the Padres, allowing four runs on 10 hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis had been shelled for 13 runs in just 8.1 innings over his previous two starts heading into Saturday, and while he turned in an improved effort, he allowed a pair of homers that accounted for the majority of the Padres' offense and failed to make it past the fifth inning yet again. Bettis is now the owner of an uninspiring 5.58 ERA and will look to stop the bleeding Thursday at Pittsburgh.

Bettis (4-4) allowed six runs in 3.2 innings in a losing effort against the Reds on Monday. He allowed eight hits while striking out two and walking two.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis has now recorded back-to-back miserable starts, allowing 13 runs in his last 8.1 innings. This month has not been kind to Bettis, as he has watched his ERA leap from 3.89 to 5.46. Although pitching in Coors Field is never easy, Bettis hasn't fared well on the road either, recording a 5.31 ERA away from Colorado. His next start will come Saturday in San Diego.

Bettis (4-3) lasted only 4.2 innings against the Red Sox on Wednesday, after he allowed seven runs on seven hits and four walks. He only struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Bettis didn't have it today, and he saw his ERA rose to 4.90 in what was his worst outing this year. He will look to bounce back in his next start Monday against the Reds.

Bettis is slated to start Wednesday against the Red Sox after Sunday's rainout pushed his start back, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
After throwing a mere eight pitches before the Rockies' game on Sunday was rained out, manager Walt Weiss decided to keep Jordan Lyles on schedule and have him slot in for the makeup game Monday while keeping Jorge De La Rosa (groin) on pace with his schedule as he returns from the DL. This pushes Bettis to Wednesday, where he'll face a potent Boston lineup and knuckleballer Steven Wright, who lowered his ERA to 2.52 after an eight-inning outing last time out. Bettis has been one of the Rockies' better starting pitchers this season, but this matchup with the Red Sox is not overly intriguing.
