Carlos Gonzalez didn't play in his first minor league rehab game as scheduled Wednesday because Triple-A Colorado Springs had their game postponed due to rain.
CarGo was expected to play in three rehab games before rejoining the Rockies on Saturday, so this may push his return back to Sunday. However, the Rockies have yet to announce whether the rainout will have an impact on his timetable.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) could be activated from the disabled list as early as Saturday.
CarGo will play seven innings in his first rehab game with Triple-A Colorado Springs and then play back-to-back full contests. If he doesn't have any setbacks, he'll rejoin the Rockies Saturday. Gonzalez has been out since late July with a nagging wrist ailment.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) said he felt good after taking batting practice Monday.
"I felt good," said Gonzalez. "I'm getting there, a lot of progress. It's been getting a lot better quicker than I thought, so I'm pretty excited. I think I'll be back in the lineup soon." If all goes well during his next BP session Tuesday, he could be cleared for a brief minor league rehab assignment. He is eligible to return from the disabled list as soon as Friday against the Nationals.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) is slated to do his normal batting practice routine Monday and Tuesday before being reevaluated.
CarGo told Jim Armstrong of the Denver Post that he hopes to return as soon as he's eligible this weekend against the Nationals, but he'll have to make it through the next couple of days without a hitch. He will likely have to go out on a brief rehab assignment before rejoining the Rockies.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) will take batting practice Monday for the first time since landing on the DL.
CarGo was placed on the disabled list July 22 with a strained right wrist and is hoping to return as soon as he's eligible. "It's getting better every day," said the outfielder. "I want to get back out there as soon as I can. I don't want to take more than 15 days." The out-of-contention Rockies may play it cautiously with him.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) won't try to swing a bat until this weekend.
Of course, that's assuming he doesn't have any setbacks this week. CarGo admitted this past weekend that he doesn't know how much time he'll need on the disabled list, so this remains a very fluid situation.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post writes that Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) will likely play in a handful of rehab games before rejoining the Rockies.
Renck is jumping the gun, as CarGo doesn't even know how long he'll be on the disabled list for. The wrist has no structural damage, so it's a matter of waiting for the inflammation to subside. When that will happen is anyone's guess.

Carlos Gonzalez (wrist) admits he has no idea how much time he'll need on the disabled list.
CarGo was placed on the DL Friday, one day after re-injuring his right wrist while swinging at a pitch. An MRI revealed no structural damage, but he doesn't know when the inflammation will subside. "There's a positive side and a dark side," Gonzalez said. "Who knows how I'm going to feel after this? It's not broken, it's just inflammation. That can be there for the rest of the year or gone after 15 days, I don't know." Dexter Fowler played center field and hit leadoff Friday, while Ryan Spilborghs handled left field.

Rockies placed OF Carlos Gonzalez on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right wrist.
As expected. CarGo originally injured the wrist when he collided with the outfield wall on July 3, but he aggravated the injury on a swing during Thursday's game. An MRI revealed inflammation in the wrist, so they'll hope that some rest will do the trick. The 25-year-old outfielder is batting .289 with 15 homers, 56 RBI and 16 stolen bases over 342 at-bats this season.

An MRI taken Thursday on Carlos Gonzalez's right wrist revealed only inflammation.
Great news for the Rockies. Gonzalez has been bothered by discomfort in his right wrist since early July and could still need a stint on the disabled list, but he did not suffer a major injury during Thursday's game against the Braves.
