Carrasco (2-4) took the loss versus the Rangers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco traded zeroes with Jon Gray for the first four innings, but the Rangers broke through on a two-run home by Marcus Semien in the fifth. This was a small step back for Carrasco, who had posted quality starts in his last two outings. The right-hander is now at a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB over 45.1 innings this season. He is projected for a home start versus the Mets his next time out.

Carrasco (2-3) yielded five runs (three earned) on six hits over seven innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco held the White Sox off the board until they scored three runs in the fifth inning, though two of those were unearned. He then served up back-to-back solo homers to Korey Lee and Paul DeJong in the seventh. Carrasco didn't allow a home run through his first four starts but has now been taken deep seven times in his last four outings. He's sporting a 5.36 ERA with a 31:17 K:BB through 40.1 innings this season. Carrasco's next start is lined up to be in Texas next week.

Carrasco (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings against the Angels. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco got back on track with his first quality start of 2024, rebounding from a pair of poor starts in which he combined for 13 earned runs over nine innings. If you erase Carrasco's two-start hiccup, he owns a 2.92 era over 24.2 innings with a 19:14 K:BB. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox, who've won five of their last nine games and are averaging 4.9 runs per game in that stretch, on Saturday.

Carrasco didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Houston, allowing eight runs on six hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco should be considered lucky to have ended up with anything other than a loss, having surrendered three-run home runs to Jon Singleton and Alex Bregman and tying his career high in runs allowed. After keeping the ball in the yard in each of his first four starts, Carrasco has given up five long balls in his past two appearances, a span in which he has yielded 13 runs with a 7:3 K:BB over nine innings. Carrasco's tentatively scheduled for a matchup against the Angels on Sunday.

Carrasco (1-2) took the loss Wednesday against Boston, allowing five runs on nine hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
After picking up a win against the Red Sox in his last outing, Carrasco had a far more difficult time Wednesday, giving up his first three home runs of the season en route to an eventual 8-0 defeat. The 37-year-old Carrasco hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start this year prior to Wednesday's loss. His ERA is now up to 4.63 with a 1.63 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB through his first five starts (23.1 innings). Carrasco will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for next Tuesday in Houston.

Carrasco (1-1) earned the win Thursday against the Red Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco's gotten off to a solid start in his second stint with Cleveland -- the veteran right-hander hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his first four starts. He lowered his ERA to 3.44 with a 1.53 WHIP and 16:12 K:BB across 18.1 innings after struggling to a 6.80 ERA in 20 starts with the Mets last season. While Carrasco isn't likely to warrant fantasy consideration at this stage in his career, he's likely locked in as the Guardians' fifth starter with Shane Bieber (elbow) out for the year.

Carrasco (0-1) took the loss in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees after giving up a run on five hits and five walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander allowed at least one baserunner in every inning he pitched, though he was able to limit the damage to a single run despite all the traffic. Carrasco has failed to last five frames in each of his past two starts, though he still has a solid 3.66 ERA for the season. His 1.66 WHIP and 11:9 K:BB are less encouraging, however.

Carrasco and the Guardians will not play Friday after their game versus the Yankees was postponed by inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday. Carrasco and Clarke Schmidt -- who had been slated to start Friday -- will presumably be pushed back a day.

Carrasco came away with a no-decision Saturday in a 3-1 win over the Twins, allowing one run on one hit and three walks over three innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The 37-year-old right-hander avoided hard contact, but he needed 78 pitches (42 strikes) to record only nine outs, forcing the Guardians to use six different relievers to finish off the victory. Carrasco has a 4.50 ERA and 9:4 K:BB through his first 8.0 innings in 2024, and his job security may have improved this weekend following the announcement that Shane Bieber (elbow) would miss the rest of the season. Carrasco lines up for a home start against the Yankees next weekend.

Carrasco didn't factor into the decision Thursday against Oakland, lasting five innings and yielding three runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco was solid outside of a rough first inning when he allowed two runs on three hits. While the 37-year-old is expected to stick in the Guardians rotation until Gavin Williams (elbow) returns from the 15-day IL, there shouldn't be high expectations for Carrasco after generating an ugly 6.80 ERA in 90 innings with the Mets last season. He's tentatively scheduled to make his next start against the Twins in Minnesota.
