That being said, the 37-year-old right-hander hasn't been a roster-worthy fantasy option in the majority of leagues this season, going 2-4 with a 5.16 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB in 45.1 innings over his nine starts.

Manager Stephen Vogt said that Carrasco (neck) completed an "up-down" bullpen session Sunday and is "feeling a lot better," MLB.com reports.

Assuming his neck doesn't provide any further complications in his subsequent throwing sessions, Carrasco could make his return from the IL around when he's first eligible to return in early June.

Carrasco's tentatively scheduled for a matchup against the Angels on Sunday.

The 37-year-old Carrasco hadn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start this year prior to Wednesday's loss. His ERA is now up to 4.63 with a 1.63 WHIP and 20:13 K:BB through his first five starts (23.1 innings). Carrasco will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for next Tuesday in Houston.

EDGE Analysis

Carrasco's gotten off to a solid start in his second stint with Cleveland -- the veteran right-hander hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his first four starts. He lowered his ERA to 3.44 with a 1.53 WHIP and 16:12 K:BB across 18.1 innings after struggling to a 6.80 ERA in 20 starts with the Mets last season. While Carrasco isn't likely to warrant fantasy consideration at this stage in his career, he's likely locked in as the Guardians' fifth starter with Shane Bieber (elbow) out for the year.
