Carrasco allowed four runs on five hits and four walks across 6.1 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Reds. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco looked a bit rusty as he made his first start since suffering a pectoral issue eight days ago, allowing a pair of runs on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman through two innings. He settled down to great effect, however, and cruised through four more frames, allowing another run when the bullpen allowed an inherited runner to score in the seventh. Carrasco lost his opportunity to pick up a win as the hosts came all the way back, but he threw 104 pitches with no ill effects and will look to exploit a favorable matchup in his next start Sunday against the Royals.

Carrasco (pectoral) was confirmed as the starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Reds, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Carrasco will toe the rubber for his ninth start of the year Tuesday after being pushed back a few days in the rotation with a pectoral issue. The 30-year-old will look to keep up his impressive start to the season, as he owns a 2.60 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 52:11 K:BB through 52 innings (eight starts).

Carrasco (pectoral) will make his next start Tuesday, May 23 against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
"Cookie" left Monday's start due to a bout of pectoral tightness, and although the injury isn't thought to be very serious, he'll slide back two days to get a bit of extra rest. As a result of this move, Danny Salazar will move up to start Sunday's series finale with Astros and Josh Tomlin will jump up to take on the Reds on Monday. This unfortunately takes Carrasco out of a two-start week this week, but the Indians don't have an off-day next week, so barring any setbacks, he should be in line for two starts next week.

The pectoral injury that forced Carrasco out of Monday's start in the fourth inning is not thought to be serious, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco was struggling anyway, as he needed 75 pitches to get through 3.2 innings and allowed five runs in the process. Perhaps the pectoral tightness contributed to his inefficiency, but at this point it doesn't look like Carrasco will need to miss any time.

Carrasco left Monday's game with left pectoral tightness, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury limited Carrasco to just 3.2 innings, but he wasn't sharp at all, needing 75 pitches (including 34 balls) to get that far. Further evaluation will be needed before we know if he will need to go on the disabled list, but he should be considered questionable for his next start at this point.

Carrasco was forced to leave Monday's start against Tampa Bay with an apparent injury, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was unclear what happened to Carrasco, but he walked off with a trainer after completing just 3.2 innings. He was wild all game long, as he threw just 41 strikes in 75 pitches and walked three batters.

Carrasco (4-2) threw seven shutout innings Tuesday in a road win over Toronto. He struck out seven and didn't walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco was brilliant in this one, and has now thrown his sixth consecutive quality start. His ERA was lowered to an impressive 1.86 and while his peripherals do suggest that he's the beneficiary of a good deal of luck (.211 BABIP), he's become one of the more reliable starters in the majors through the first month. He'll look to keep it rolling next Monday at home against Tampa Bay.

Carrasco was fighting a fever throughout his Wednesday start against the White Sox, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Terry Francona made sense of why he pulled his starting pitcher after just six innings and 91 pitches -- both of which were Carrasco's lowest totals since his first outing of the season. Onlookers would have no idea the 30-year-old was battling an illness based on the performance that earned him a victory. In six starts this year, Carrasco has turned in a 2.18 ERA, which currently ranks ninth among AL starters. He's also tied with Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw for the third-most innings (41.1) in MLB.

Carrasco (3-2) pitched six strong innings in Detroit on Wednesday, striking out five while allowing two runs on five hits and a walk in a 3-2 win.
EDGE Analysis
It says something about just how good Carrasco's been that this was one of his worst starts so far in 2017. That said, the 30-year-old righty has experienced some terrific luck -- including a .214 BABIP and 89.3 percent strand rate -- so expect that 2.18 ERA to regress into the threes. Of course, that still leaves him with plenty of fantasy value.

Carrasco pitched eight innings (for the second straight outing), allowing three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out seven Mariners in Friday's loss.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco pitched well enough to win, but he also allowed two home runs that were the difference as the Mariners took the victory 3-1. The 30-year-old has pitched into the sixth inning in all five of his starts this season, walking no more than one batter in three of them. Despite those impressive numbers, Carrasco has a 2-2 record because the Indians have only scored 12 runs with him on the mound. All in all, he looks like the right-hander we saw last season when his 3.32 ERA ranked 10th in the AL before he suffered a season-ending broken right hand. Carrasco will make his next start Wednesday against Detroit.
