Carrasco allowed four runs on five hits and four walks across 6.1 innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Reds. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco looked a bit rusty as he made his first start since suffering a pectoral issue eight days ago, allowing a pair of runs on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman through two innings. He settled down to great effect, however, and cruised through four more frames, allowing another run when the bullpen allowed an inherited runner to score in the seventh. Carrasco lost his opportunity to pick up a win as the hosts came all the way back, but he threw 104 pitches with no ill effects and will look to exploit a favorable matchup in his next start Sunday against the Royals.
