Carrasco surrendered five runs on six hits and three walks over only 1.2 innings but escaped with a no-decision in Tuesday's 12-10 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
In what was expected to be a pitcher's duel with Chris Sale, Carrasco instead couldn't get out of the second inning as Boston sent 10 men to the plate in that frame and tagged the right-hander for four extra-base hits (three doubles and a Mitch Moreland homer). Carrasco will look to get back on track Sunday at home against the Yankees.

Carrasco rebounded from a rough June (5.68 ERA) by logging four quality starts in five July outings while posting a 3.31 ERA with 39 strikeouts over 32.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old Venezuelan pitched six-plus innings in all five of his starts last month while capturing his largest strikeout rate (29.3) since August of last year. Carrasco's 3.18 FIP in July was his best such mark for any month this season, and the same can be said for his 6.5 K/BB. He'll enter the campaign's stretch run ranked in the AL's top-10 for ERA (3.58), WHIP (1.09), strikeouts (135) and wins (10).

Carrasco allowed two runs on six hits over 6.1 innings while striking out five Wednesday but didn't factor into the decision in a 10-4 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland's bats didn't blow the game open until the eighth inning, depriving Carrasco of his 11th win despite his 13th quality start of the year. The right-hander will head back to the mound Tuesday on the road against the Red Sox.

Carrasco (10-4) tossed six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six Giants in a no-decision Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander managed to work around trouble on a day when just 59 percent of his pitches went for strikes, and departed with a 3-2 lead that the bullpen couldn't hang onto. Carrasco entered the All-Star break on a five-game winning streak, but failed to capture a victory in his first two starts -- both of which were favorable matchups -- since the Midsummer Classic. He'll look to get back on track at home Wednesday against the Angels.

Carrasco (10-3) allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out 11 in Friday's 11-2 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
He became just the second Cleveland pitcher in history (after Justin Masterson in 2014) to record an immaculate inning, striking out Nick Castellanos, Mikie Mahtook and Jose Iglesias on nine pitches in the fifth. A rough outing against the Rangers aside Carrasco has been on a roll lately, striking out at least seven batters in five straight trips to the mound and recording quality starts in four of those five. The right-hander is set to kick off the second half for Cleveland next Friday in Oakland.

Carrasco (9-3) allowed just a single run on four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters through seven innings during Saturday's win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
This was a reassuring rebound following Monday's rough outing against Texas on the road. Carrasco has allowed two runs or fewer in 11 of 16 starts this season and sports a high-end 3.50 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 9.5 K/9 for the year. He lines up to face the Tigers in a repeat matchup at Progressive Field in his next start.

Despite escaping with a 4-1 record in June, Carrasco posted an uninspiring 5.01 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 32.1 innings over five starts.
EDGE Analysis
The righty's performance in June was way off what he showed in the campaign's first two months. Carrasco's effort over the last 30 days ballooned his ERA from 2.89 to a season-worst 3.67. Overall, owners of the 30-year-old have to be happy with the pitcher's performance thus far. Carrasco opens May ranked in the AL's top five for wins (eight) and WHIP, while his 96 strikeouts place ninth in the league.

Carrasco allowed eight runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven batters through just 3.1 innings during Monday's win over Texas. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
This was just the fourth time in 15 starts that Carrasco has surrendered more than three runs in a game, and Texas boasts a dangerous lineup, so it's probably best not to overreact to Monday's showing. Even following the disastrous outing, Carrasco sports a rock-solid 3.67 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 9.5 K/9. He'll look to rebound in his next start against Detroit at Comerica Park.

Carrasco (8-3) pitched six scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts during Wednesday's win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
The dominant showing has Carrasco sporting a 2.99 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 9.2 K/9 for the year. He's now allowed just three runs through 17.2 innings over his past three outings, and appears to have settled in as a high-end asset going forward. Carrasco projects to face Texas at home in his next start.
