Carrasco (12-5) allowed a single run on five hits and a walk while striking out nine batters through five innings during Thursday's win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
After struggling in consecutive outings (10 runs allowed through 7.1 innings), Carrasco bounced back in his last start with eight-shutout frames and 10 strikeouts against the Rays. It was more of the same Thursday, and don't let the short outing fool, either. Carrasco pitched his way out of a bases-loaded jam in the first inning without allowing a run, so his pitch count skyrocketed in a hurry. While the ups and downs are discouraging, it's difficult to fade Carrasco in any fantasy setting considering his upside in any given start. He takes a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 10.1 K/9 into his next start against the Red Sox at Progressive Field.

Carrasco's scheduled start for Wednesday against the Twins has been postponed by rain.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco was looking to build off an impressive last outing, when he struck out 10 hitters over eight scoreless innings against the Rays, but he'll get an extra day to rest instead. The Indians will simply slot him into the first game of Thursday's doubleheader, lining him up against Kyle Gibson.

Carrasco (11-5) fired eight scoreless innings Friday to earn the win over the Rays, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out 10.
EDGE Analysis
He took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, but Logan Morrison spoiled the bid for history with a two-out single. Carrasco had been struggling to begin August, coughing up 10 runs in 7.1 innings over his first two starts of the month, but he appeared to be in peak form Friday. He'll take a 3.83 ERA into his next start Wednesday on the road against the Twins.

Carrasco (10-5) allowed five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings during Sunday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco did well in limiting the Yankees to just three hits and no runs over the first five innings of Sunday's contest, but things fell apart for the 30-year-old in the sixth frame. Carrasco found himself in a bases loaded jam with just one out before Chase Headley put the away team on the board with a sacrifice fly. After a walk to Todd Frazier, Jacoby Ellsbury blew the game open with a bases-clearing triple to drive Carrasco from the game. The veteran pitcher has now allowed 10 earned runs over his previous two starts (7.1 innings) and will look to improve upon his 4.06 ERA in his upcoming scheduled start against the Rays on Friday.

Carrasco surrendered five runs on six hits and three walks over only 1.2 innings but escaped with a no-decision in Tuesday's 12-10 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
In what was expected to be a pitcher's duel with Chris Sale, Carrasco instead couldn't get out of the second inning as Boston sent 10 men to the plate in that frame and tagged the right-hander for four extra-base hits (three doubles and a Mitch Moreland homer). Carrasco will look to get back on track Sunday at home against the Yankees.

Carrasco rebounded from a rough June (5.68 ERA) by logging four quality starts in five July outings while posting a 3.31 ERA with 39 strikeouts over 32.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old Venezuelan pitched six-plus innings in all five of his starts last month while capturing his largest strikeout rate (29.3) since August of last year. Carrasco's 3.18 FIP in July was his best such mark for any month this season, and the same can be said for his 6.5 K/BB. He'll enter the campaign's stretch run ranked in the AL's top-10 for ERA (3.58), WHIP (1.09), strikeouts (135) and wins (10).

Carrasco allowed two runs on six hits over 6.1 innings while striking out five Wednesday but didn't factor into the decision in a 10-4 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland's bats didn't blow the game open until the eighth inning, depriving Carrasco of his 11th win despite his 13th quality start of the year. The right-hander will head back to the mound Tuesday on the road against the Red Sox.

Carrasco (10-4) tossed six innings, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six Giants in a no-decision Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander managed to work around trouble on a day when just 59 percent of his pitches went for strikes, and departed with a 3-2 lead that the bullpen couldn't hang onto. Carrasco entered the All-Star break on a five-game winning streak, but failed to capture a victory in his first two starts -- both of which were favorable matchups -- since the Midsummer Classic. He'll look to get back on track at home Wednesday against the Angels.

Carrasco (10-3) allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out 11 in Friday's 11-2 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
He became just the second Cleveland pitcher in history (after Justin Masterson in 2014) to record an immaculate inning, striking out Nick Castellanos, Mikie Mahtook and Jose Iglesias on nine pitches in the fifth. A rough outing against the Rangers aside Carrasco has been on a roll lately, striking out at least seven batters in five straight trips to the mound and recording quality starts in four of those five. The right-hander is set to kick off the second half for Cleveland next Friday in Oakland.
