McCann is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Newsday's Erik Boland reports.
He'll receive a rest after starting the previous four games, as John Ryan Murphy tags in to catch Adam Warren. McCann went 6-for-17 with four RBI during the four-game stretch.

McCann is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
McCann is 0-for-7 for his career against Angels lefty C.J. Wilson and only recently returned from a sore foot, so it makes sense for manager Joe Girardi to give his primary backstop a rest. John Ryan Murphy will handle catching duties for CC Sabathia.

McCann (foot) is in the lineup Friday against the Angels, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.
McCann was considered day-to-day after spraining his right foot Wednesday, but it doesn't look to be anything serious, as he's back in the lineup following an off day Thursday. McCann will serve as the backstop and hit fifth against Angels starter Jered Weaver.

McCann (foot) is considered day-to-day after a CT scan and MRI both came back negative, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
McCann suffered the injury during Wednesday's game in Seattle, and the Yankees are off on Thursday. If McCann isn't ready for Friday's game against the Angels, John Ryan Murphy will likely start behind the plate.

McCann left Wednesday's game with a sore right foot and will undergo an MRI in New York Thursday, Meredith Marakovits of YES Network reports.
The severity of McCann's injury remains unclear at this time, but the MRI should shed some light on that. He was replaced in Wednesday's game by John Ryan Murphy, and Murphy would likely take over primary catching duties if McCann's injury turns out to be serious.

McCann is out of the lineup Tuesday, the YES Network's Meredith Marakovits reports.
It is just a standard day off for McCann, and a logical one with lefty Mike Montgomery on the mound for the Mariners. McCann had a stretch last week where he homered in four straight games, so he has bought himself at least a couple weeks of goodwill in the fantasy community. John Ryan Murphy gets the start at catcher Tuesday.

McCann is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
McCann will get a day of rest Sunday following a stretch of hot days at the plate. His streak of four straight starts with a home run ended Saturday, but that likely didn't factor into John Ryan Murphy's start behind the plate.

McCann ran his home run streak to four consecutive games in Friday's loss to the A's.
McCann got off to a slow start in the power department, but has since begun to turn that around and is riding a seven-game hitting streak overall. His .253 average is also up significantly from last year's disappointing campaign.

McCann went 3-for-4 with a run, a home run, and two RBIs in Thursday's loss to the A's.
McCann has now homered in his third straight game and has hit safely in six straight. His season batting average of .254 is unimpressive, however. A career .271 hitter, McCann is hot right now and he's been one of the best power-hitting catchers in the league for a while now, so it's encouraging to see him enjoy his streak.
