McCann is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Erik Boland of Newsday reports. McCann is 0-for-7 for his career against Angels lefty C.J. Wilson and only recently returned from a sore foot, so it makes sense for manager Joe Girardi to give his primary backstop a rest. John Ryan Murphy will handle catching duties for CC Sabathia.
