Anderson (2-4) pitched well Friday, allowing only two runs in 7.2 innings against the Cardinals, but took the loss. He struck out five, walked three and gave up four hits. Anderson's delivered surprisingly credible work in the Dodgers' rotation this year, although his 1.36 WHIP doesn't quite match up with his strong 3.42 ERA. Nonetheless, he's now delivered three consecutive quality starts and will look to make it four Wednesday against Arizona.

Anderson, who was bothered by back tightness in Monday's outing against the Braves, indicated he experienced no issues with his back Tuesday, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Though Anderson's back trouble undoubtedly put something of a scare in the Dodgers given his history of poor health, it looks like he'll be given the green light to make his next start Sunday against the Cardinals.

Anderson experienced back tightness during the fifth inning of his start against the Braves on Monday, but was able to stay in the game, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Anderson reportedly assured manager Don Mattingly and trainer Stan Conte that it was just a blip, going on to throw a couple practice pitches before completing a seven-inning, two-run outing. Considering that the oft-injured Anderson had back surgery last season, this should stick in fantasy owners' minds. Assuming the back doesn't act up on him, Anderson will go next against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Anderson submitted a sterling outing Monday against the Braves, scattering seven hits and two walks over seven frames. He struck out three batters and didn't factor into the decision in the Dodgers' 6-3 win. After striking out 15 batters over his previous two turns, Anderson didn't generate a ton of misses Monday, but excelled in keeping the ball low in the zone. In so doing, he induced 13 groundballs, bumping up his rate to a superb 66.7 percent for the season. Anderson isn't a fantasy stud because of his typically modest strikeout rate and checkered history on the health front, but he's been a perfectly capable No. 3 starter this season for the Dodgers, who have sorely needed him with Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) and Brandon McCarthy (elbow) out for the rest of 2015.

Anderson gave up six hits, three walks and three runs while striking out seven in 6.1 innings Wednesday against the Giants. Anderson (2-2) received no run support to lose for the first time in five starts. The Dodgers have scored only two runs in 39 innings and were shut out for the second straight night, their first time being blanked in consecutive games since three in a row by the Giants in June 2012. Anderson will give it another go Monday against Atlanta, and hopefully the Dodgers will snap out of their offensive funk by then.

Anderson tossed 5.1 solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in a no-decision Thursday against the Rockies. Anderson departed from the game due to the rain delay but had a two run lead when he left. The Dodgers' bullpen failed to close the game, and Anderson picked up a no-decision. His next start will be Wednesday at San Francisco.

Anderson pitched well Friday, going five innings and allowing a run (0 earned) with only a single strikeout in the 2-1 rain-shortened win over the Rockies If you would have said Anderson pitched a complete game shutout at Coors Field, even he'd be shocked. That was just the case for Anderson, as the game was called in the top of the sixth after a long rain delay. Anderson has a good chance at another strong game in his next matchup against Miami on Wednesday.

Anderson was excellent against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, striking out four across 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The 27-year-old was unlucky not to earn himself a win, but the Dodgers were shutout by Chase Anderson and the Arizona bullpen before scoring the only run of the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. The L.A. pitching staff is riddled with injuries at the moment, so Anderson will continue to start for the time being. His next appearance is scheduled for Friday against the Rockies.

Anderson lasted just 4.2 innings Monday against the Giants, allowing three runs on five hits with a 3:2 K:BB. Anderson's ERA sits at 5.49, but at least he's healthy, at least for now.

Anderson struggled Tuesday in a 6-1 loss to the Giants, allowing four earned runs on nine hits over four innings pitched. He struck out one and didn't walk anyone in the outing. Anderson's first two outings were more successful, but perhaps the most interesting thing to note is that he does not appear to be able to pitch past the sixth inning. Granted the Dodgers have a decent bullpen, but it will limit his chances for wins and strike outs. The biggest issue with Anderson is his health, which seems good so far and as long as he is healthy he will help in lots of different leagues.
