Pfaadt (9-6) earned the win over San Diego on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out four batters over eight innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt was both effective and efficient in the outing, needing a comfortable 99 pitches to get through a season-high eight frames. In fact, this was just the second time this season he's completed more than six innings -- his previous high was 6.1 frames May 8 against the Dodgers. Pfaadt didn't overwhelm batters with just seven whiffs and four punchouts, but he limited the Padres to only four hits. He's unlikely to pitch again until after the All-Star break; if that's the case, he'll finish the first half of the campaign with a 9-6 record despite a poor 5.16 ERA and 1.31 WHIP along with an 84:23 K:BB over 99.1 innings spanning 19 starts.

Pfaadt (8-6) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings to take the loss versus the Giants on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt had trouble against the top of the Giants' lineup, which was able to generate two runs in each of the first and third innings. This was Pfaadt's longest start since May 19 against the Dodgers and it also saw him rack up a season high in strikeouts, but he was outmatched by a complete-game performance from San Francisco starter Robbie Ray. Pfaadt is now at a 5.42 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 80:23 K:BB across 91.1 innings over 18 starts. He's lined up to make his next start on the road in San Diego.

Pfaadt did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk over five innings against Miami. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander notched seven strikeouts for the second straight outing, though his strikeout rate has dropped significantly from 9.2 K/9 in 2024 to 7.6 K/9 this season. After a strong start to the year in which he logged a 3.28 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over his first eight starts (46.2 innings), Pfaadt has struggled in his past nine, posting a 7.91 ERA and 1.58 WHIP across 38.2 innings.

Pfaadt (8-5) yielded four runs on six hits and a walk over five innings Sunday, striking out seven and taking a loss against Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt was sharp through four shutout frames, allowing only two runners to reach scoring position during that span. The Rockies then piled on four runs in the fifth frame, capped off by Mickey Moniak's three-run shot. Pfaadt has now thrown fewer than six innings in six consecutive outings; during that stretch, he's produced a brutal 9.51 ERA, raising his season mark to 5.49. He threw 54 of 81 pitches for strikes and forced 13 whiffs during Sunday's loss. Pfaadt is lined up to face the Marlins at home next weekend.

Pfaadt didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Toronto, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt separated himself from a brutal two-start stretch he endured as the calendar flipped from May to June where he allowed eight runs in three-plus innings. He's surrendered just four runs in 10 innings over two starts since then to get back on track. The 26-year-old has a 5.38 ERA on the year, but he's got a much more palatable 3.86 ERA outside of the two bad outings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which is slated to come at Coors Field this weekend.

Pfaadt (8-4) allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out four over five-plus innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt had five scoreless innings on his ledger before allowing solo home runs to Randy Arozarena and Rowdy Tellez in the sixth. Even with the late fade, this was a massive improvement over Pfaadt's last two outings, in which he allowed a total of 14 runs over three innings. The right-hander is still at an ugly 5.37 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 55:18 K:BB through 70.1 innings over 14 starts this season. His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Blue Jays next week.

Pfaadt did not factor into the decision in Thursday's 11-10 win over Atlanta, allowing six runs (five earned) on five hits and two walks with two strikeouts over three innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt endured a five-run third inning highlighted by three consecutive Atlanta doubles. The 26-year-old has allowed at least four earned runs in four of his seven starts since the calendar flipped to May, including 13 over his past two outings. Those back-to-back rough starts have inflated the righty's ERA from 3.90 to 5.51, and he now owns a 1.36 WHIP with a 51:17 K:BB across 65.1 innings. He'll try to get back on track in a home matchup with the Mariners next week.

Pfaadt (7-4) failed to record an out while taking the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, allowing eight runs on six hits and two hit batsmen.
EDGE Analysis
Four of the six hits were doubles, which allowed the Nationals to keep the line moving during Pfaadt's brief outing. Scott McGough was unable to stop the bleeding immediately, and the Diamondbacks were down 10-0 before sending a batter to the plate themselves. The silver lining here is that it's tough for Pfaadt to ever have a worse appearance in his career. His ERA jumped from 3.90 to 5.05, and he's added a 1.32 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB across 62.1 innings over 12 starts. He's tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati.

Pfaadt did not factor in the decision during Sunday's loss to St. Louis. He yielded three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt gave up a run in each of the first, third and sixth innings, including Masyn Winn's solo shot in the third. Pfaadt has been taken deep five times in his last three outings after giving up just three home runs in his previous six starts. He struck out 41 batters through 46.2 frames to begin the year but has since punched out only eight batters in 15.2 innings. He now owns a 3.90 ERA across 11 starts. He's currently in line for a home tilt against the Nationals next weekend.

Pfaadt (7-3) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over six innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt had recorded no fewer than three strikeouts in any of his first nine starts this season. He wasn't as fortunate this time, but he had some luck on his side -- while all three hits he allowed were home runs, they were also all solo shots, and they came after Arizona had opened with seven runs over the first three innings. Pfaadt can do better, but this was his sixth quality start of the season as well as his second win over the Dodgers on the year. He's maintained a 3.81 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB across 56.2 innings so far. His next start is projected to be in St. Louis this weekend.
