Pfaadt allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings Sunday against the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt carried a shutout into the fifth inning before serving up a solo home run to Zack Gelof to tie the game at 1-1. That was the lone mark against him, though it was enough to cost him a chance at the win after the Diamondbacks didn't take the lead back until the bottom of the seventh. Sunday was the third time in June Pfaadt punched out eight batters, but it came on the heels of consecutive starts in which he combined for just two strikeouts in 12.2 innings. Length has been a strength for Pfaadt, as he's gone at least six innings in 13 of his last 15 starts. The 25-year-old owns a 4.28 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 94:26 K:BB in 103 innings and lines up for his next start against division-rival Padres over the weekend.

Pfaadt allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt pitched into the seventh inning for the second start in a row, but it resulted in him giving up a three-run home run to Ryan Jeffers that tied the game at 4-4. Arizona got the lead back in its half of the frame, but Pfaadt was already out of the game, leaving the win to reliever Kevin Ginkel. Through five starts in June, Pfaadt has allowed 17 runs over 30 innings with a 23:12 K:BB. He's now at a 4.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 86:24 K:BB through 97 innings through 16 starts this season. The right-hander is lined up to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the Athletics.

Pfaadt (3-6) took the loss Wednesday, giving up three runs on five hits and four walks over 6.1 innings as the Diamondbacks fell 3-1 to the Nationals. He failed to strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
To say the 25-year-old right-hander wasn't fooling anyone Wednesday would be an understatement. Pfaadt not only came up empty in strikeouts while issuing a season high in walks, he didn't generate a single swinging strike among his 77 pitches. He was still able to produce enough weak contact to deliver his second straight quality start and eighth of the season, however. Pfaadt will take a 4.37 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 84:22 K:BB through 90.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Twins.

Pfaadt (3-5) earned the win over the Angels on Thursday, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over six innings while striking out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt allowed the leadoff man to reach base in two of his first three innings, but escaped unscathed via double plays on each occasion. He would then surrender an RBI single to Mickey Moniak in the fourth before going on to log his seventh quality start of the campaign. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in three of his last six outings, going 2-2 over that stretch. Pfaadt's also recorded at least seven strikeouts in four of his last six starts.

Pfaadt (2-5) allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Even in pitcher-friendly Petco Park, Pfaadt was tagged for a season-high three home runs. He gave up back-to-back solo shots to Fernando Tatis and Jurickson Profar in the first inning and also yielded a two-run blast to Ha-Seong Kim in the sixth. This was the third start in a row where Pfaadt has given up four or more runs. He's now at a 4.60 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 76:15 K:BB through 78.1 innings across 13 starts. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Angels.

Pfaadt (2-4) came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt was solid in this one outside of a rough third inning in which he allowed all four of his earned runs courtesy of back-to-back triples. The 25-year-old right-hander has now pitched six or more innings in seven consecutive starts and has yet to pitch less than five innings in any start this season. The second-year pro has been inconsistent, pitching to a 4.32 ERA but his 5.1 K/BB and 1.08 WHIP highlight his ability to miss bats. He will look for more success in his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in San Diego.

Pfaadt (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt covered at least six innings for the sixth start in a row, but this was the third time this year he's allowed at least four earned runs. Josh Smith had an RBI single in the third inning and Corey Seager continued his power surge with a three-run home run in the fifth. Pfaadt is now at a 4.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB through 67 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Mets.

Pfaadt (2-3) got the win over the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt picked up a win for the first time since his season-opening start against the Rockies on March 31. His first run allowed was unearned off a throwing error by Gabriel Moreno and then the Dodgers finally got to him in the sixth for a pair. Pfaadt only gave up one barreled ball on the evening and now has five straight quality starts and seven or more strikeouts three times. The 25-year-old now owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 58:11 K:BB in 60 innings and lines up to face the Rangers on the road next week.

Pfaadt came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out nine.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander generated 30 called or swinging strikes on 93 pitches in one of his best performances of the season, and his only real mistake resulted in a Santiago Espinal solo shot in the fifth inning. Pfaadt extended his quality start streak to four with the effort, a stretch in which he's posted a 3.24 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB through 25 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, but he'll face a tough test on the road early next week against the Dodgers.

Pfaadt (1-3) took the loss Friday as the Diamondbacks fell 4-2 to the Orioles, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He failed to strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old right-hander produced his third straight quality start and fourth of the season on 88 pitches (56 strikes), but Pfaadt generated only six swinging strikes as he came up empty in the strikeout department for the first time in 26 big-league starts. In fact, he'd never fanned fewer than three batters in an outing before Friday. Pfaadt will take a 4.60 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 42:8 K:BB through 47 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Reds.
