Pfaadt (6-3) allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings to take the loss versus the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
A Christian Koss grand slam in the second inning accounted for all of the runs on Pfaadt's line. His two shortest starts of the season have come across three outings in May, but he sandwiched 6.1 scoreless innings versus the Dodgers between those poor performances. Overall, Pfaadt is now at a 3.73 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB through 50.2 innings over nine starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Dodgers as he looks for a repeat performance of his last matchup with them.

Pfaadt (6-2) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out six over 6.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Thursday over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt had his worst start of the year his last time out, allowing seven runs (six earned) in 4.2 innings versus the Phillies. He rebounded against another tough foe, posting his fifth quality start and second scoreless outing of the season while keeping the Dodgers' offense in check. Pfaadt is now at a 3.28 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 41:10 K:BB over 46.2 innings across eight starts this season, which is looking like a breakout year, though he is giving up a few too many baserunners. He's lined up to make his next start on the road in San Francisco.

Pfaadt (5-2) took the loss against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt had given up four earned runs over his last four starts heading into Saturday, and he got off to a nice start with three strikeouts in the first inning. It was downhill from there for the 26-year-old right-hander, who yielded home runs to Max Kepler and J.T. Realmuto in the second and third innings, respectively, before being tagged for a seventh run in the fourth. Pfaadt's performance rose his ERA and WHIP to 3.79 and 1.24, respectively, over 40.1 innings, and his 43 hits allowed is fifth-most among qualified starters in the National League. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Dodgers.

They put two more runs on Pfaadt's line in the seventh, including one after he was removed from the game. He tossed 65 of 100 pitches for strikes and forced 13 whiffs, including nine with the sweeper. Pfaadt has won five consecutive starts and dropped his season ERA to 2.78 with a 29:6 K:BB. Pfaadt (4-1) picked up the win Tuesday in a 5-1 victory over the Rays, allowing one run on four hits over six innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old right-hander won his fourth straight outing and delivered his third quality start in five trips to the mound, with only an RBI single by Jake Mangum in the second inning putting a blemish on his night. Pfaadt will take a 2.73 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB through 29.2 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against Atlanta.

Pfaadt (3-1) earned the win against the Marlins on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt's only blemish of Wednesday's game came in the fourth inning, when he gave up a 396-foot solo home run to Matt Mervis. Pfaadt was one out shy from logging a second consecutive quality start and has begun the year with a 3.04 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB across 23.2 innings. He'll look to earn a fourth-straight win in his next start, which is tentatively slated for next week at home against Tampa Bay.

Pfaadt (2-1) earned the win Wednesday over the Orioles, allowing four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
It was an impressive outing from Pfaadt, who's now won back-to-back starts while lowering his ERA to 3.50 through his first 18 innings. While the 26-year-old Pfaadt has yet to log more than five strikeouts in a start this year, he's posted an encouraging 2.1 percent walk rate. Pfaadt's currently lined up to face the Marlins on the road next week in his next outing.

Pfaadt (1-1) picked up the win after allowing four runs on six hits and no walks in six innings Friday against Washington. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was plagued by the long ball Friday, giving up a solo homer to CJ Abrams and a two-run shot to Luis Garcia in the opening frame. Pfaadt settled in to throw four scoreless innings thereafter, but Nathaniel Lowe took him deep for a solo blast in the sixth frame. Pfaadt has lent just one free pass to go with nine strikeouts over his first 12 innings of the year, but he'll carry a 5.25 ERA into his next scheduled start in the middle of next week at home against Baltimore.

Pfaadt (0-1) took the loss against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt held Chicago scoreless for three frames before giving up a run in the fourth inning. The Cubs tagged him for two more runs on a Kyle Tucker homer in the fifth, and Arizona was never able to catch up. Pfaadt was pretty efficient in completing six frames on 78 pitches, and he gave his fantasy managers a boost with a quality start despite the loss. His second start of the campaign is expected to come against Washington next week.

Pfaadt signed a five-year, $45 million contract extension with the Diamondbacks on Friday that includes a club option for 2031 and a mutual option for 2032, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pfaadt's extension won't kick in until 2026, but it will buy out all three of his arbitration years and possibly his first three years of free agency if all options are exercised. The 26-year-old finished last season with a 4.71 ERA and 1.24 WHIP alongside a 185:42 K:BB in 181.2 innings (32 starts); however, his 3.60 FIP is much more indicative of how well he performed on the mound. His first start of the new year is slated to come Saturday versus the Cubs, against whom he allowed two earned runs over 14 innings with a 13:1 K:BB in two appearances last season.
