Yahoo! Sports reports that players who have already been suspended for PED use linked to Biogenesis, including Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal and Melky Cabrera, will likely avoid further suspension.
Meanwhile, nine known players and more who haven't been reported are all but certain to take plea deals in the coming days or weeks. Possible plea acceptors include: Detroit shortstop Jhonny Peralta, Texas outfielder Nelson Cruz, San Diego shortstop Everth Cabrera, New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli and Seattle minor leaguer Jesus Montero. Players accepting plea deals have a chance to be suspended until the end of the 2013 season, as opposed to a 100-game ban if they refuse to cooperate.

Bartolo Colon pitched six innings and allowed two runs Friday in a victory over the Angels.
Colon wasn't quite as dominant as he was Sunday, when he shut out the same Angels lineup, but he got the job done in a 6-4 game. He's now 8-1 with a 1.77 ERA in 10 starts since the beginning of June.

Bartolo Colon threw a complete game shutout in Sunday's win over the Angels.
Colon only had five strikeouts, but he was able to hold the Angels' lineup to just four hits, with his lone walk of the game coming against Erick Aybar. It was a monster of a performance. Colon now has a 2.52 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 20 starts this season.

Bartolo Colon limited the Pirates to one run in seven innings to earn his 12th victory on Monday night.
Colon had his eight-game winning streak snapped by the Cubs tonight, but he bounced back and snapped Jeff Locke's eight-game winning streak tonight. Colon is slated to be Oakland's lone rep in next week's All-Star Game, but since he's slated to start Sunday, there's a good chance he won't pitch against the NL.

Bartolo Colon took his first loss since May 9 after giving up two runs in seven innings against the Cubs on Wednesday.
Colon was effective yet again tonight, allowing three runs or fewer for the 10th straight start. Still, he did give up nine hits and he struck out no one against a pretty poor lineup. As modest as his strikeout rate is, he can't help but give up more hits as time goes on.

Bartolo Colon moved to 11-2 by limiting the Cardinals to one run in eight innings on Friday night.
Colon became the first pitcher this year to win eight straight starts. It certainly helps that the A's have scored six runs in seven of those games, but Colon has allowed a total of nine runs during the streak. How much longer this will last is anyone's guess; his strikeout rate is pretty modest and it's not like he has a bunch of offspeed pitches he can fall back on. Still, he's spotting his fastball as well as anyone in recent memory.

Bartolo Colon allowed three runs on seven hits over eight innings Friday as the A's beat the Mariners 6-3.
He struck out four and walked two. Outside of the third inning, in which Nick Franklin spanked a three-run homer, Colon silenced the Mariners. Colon has pitched at least six innings and not allowed more than three runs in every start since May 9. The ageless righty improves to 10-2 with a 2.93 ERA.

Bartolo Colon blanked the Yankees for six innings to win his fifth straight start on Tuesday.
After he left, the Yankees rallied against Oakland's bullpen, but the A's held on to win 6-4. It's worth wondering whether Colon is cheating again with the way he's throwing right now. He's allowed a total of one run in his last four starts, and he's turned in quality starts in each of his last six outings. Colon did walk four tonight, which is unusual for him, but he allowed just three hits, all of them singles.

Bartolo Colon allowed just one run over seven innings Wednesday as the A's beat the Brewers 6-1.
Colon scattered seven singles and one triple while striking out four. The veteran right-hander boasts a 3.14 overall season ERA and has been especially effective over his past three starts. He'll get a tough test next week when the Yankees visit the O.Co Coliseum.
